Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAs a Senior Manager or Experienced Manager, you\u2019ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
\n\tProactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to an associate director and partner\/director
\n\tBe involved in the financial management of clients
\n\tBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new\/existing clients
\n\tContribute to the development of your own and the team\u2019s technical acumen
\n\tDevelop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
\n\tAssist in the execution, management and delivery of large projects
\n\tAssist in the management and delivery of smaller projects
\n\tTrain, coach, and supervise staff
\n\tReview team members’ work and client deliverables
\n\tAdhere to PwC’s professional standards, values, code of conduct and internal risk management policies
\n\tKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
\n\tKeep up to date with valuation technical\/market developments
\n\tContinue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand<\/p>\n
Applicants will display the following competencies: <\/p>\n

\n\tExperience in performing business enterprise valuations using the Income Approach (discounted cash flow), Market Approach and Net Assets Approach methods;
\n\tExperience in applying the Capital Asset Pricing Model in calculating discount rates;
\n\tPrior exposure to and knowledge of external research databases (e.g. S&P Capital IQ) in quantifying assumptions for the use in valuation models;
\n\tExperience in interpreting the results from the various valuation methods applied;
\n\tExperience in performing intangible asset valuations (e.g. IFRS 3 Fair Value analysis);
\n\tExperience in performing expert opinions of value (e.g. fair and reasonable opinions) will be beneficial;
\n\tExcellent Microsoft Excel skills (prior exposure to or experience in financial modelling will be beneficial);
\n\tInnovation and idea generation;
\n\tA desire to build on commercial and industry knowledge;
\n\tNegotiations skills would be beneficial;
\n\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to write succinct, well-structured reports and client communications;
\n\tA well-organised and self-directed individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organisation;
\n\tProven ability to multitask and ensure effective delivery of the priorities to meet targets and objectives;
\n\tAbility to run independently with projects when necessary;
\n\tProject and client management skills;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0

\n\tHighly rated with good academic credentials; and

Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tCA (SA) ; CFA (or studying towards CFA) would be beneficial; or
\n\tMasters in Finance and CFA<\/p>\n
Minimum years\u2019 experience required:<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of four years as an experienced manager or 24 months as a senior manager of relevant valuation experience in a Corporate Finance\/\/ Valuations environment.<\/p>\n
