Job Description<\/p>\n
\tSupporting the risk management function in the Discovery Connect Distribution Services business by delivering against and facilitating the risk management programme and activities.<\/p>\n
Key Outputs<\/p>\n
The successful individual will be required to perform on, but not limited to the following key outputs:<\/p>\n
\tCreate risk reports and ensure consistent delivery of the risk reporting requirements for the Discovery Connect business
\n\tStakeholder management – ensuring the accurate reporting of risk exposures within the various business functional units through regular formal engagement with management.
\n\tEmbedding and implementation of the ERM Policies, Frameworks, Standards and Guidelines into the business and ensuring that requirements are met.
\n\tEnsure that risk management activities required by the business and other Group Wide Policies, Frameworks and Standards are performed and delivered on.
\n\tEnsure risk and controls assessments are performed on risks identified \/ reported
\n\tMonitor and report all material risks and risk information is reported to the relevant Excos\/Committees\/Management forums\/ stakeholders.
\n\tRisk Exco\u2019s: Draft risk report for the Risk Exco, facilitate and manage the process of reviewing the risk information with relevant stakeholders such as the CEO of the Business and 2nd line risk management function, prepare Risk Exco pack along with minutes and Agenda items.
\n\tAttestations: Perform and facilitate the process on completion of attestations when required
\n\tEnsure follow ups with management\/relevant stakeholders where required, such as open action plans, breached KRIs, risk incidents, risks are performed, and risks are reassessed where required
\n\tDevelop, monitor and report on key risk indicators on a regular basis.
\n\tEnsure that risk events are reported on and provide a detailed analysis of the event including the qualitative and quantitative impact.
\n\tManage and maintain the risk profiles of the Discovery Connect businesses to ensure the information on the profiles are up-to-date, relevant and an accurate representation of the business environment. This includes that management and maintenance of the risk information on the risk management system
\n\tPerforming risk assessments as required by the risk management plan.
\n\tSupport and assist the Head of Operations in drafting, implementing and delivering of the Risk Management plan for Discovery Connect licence business.
\n\tProviding technical risk management support in business meetings, and risk reviews.
\n\tPromote a strong risk management culture within the business through engagement, challenge of risk information.
\n\tSupporting and guiding staff.<\/p>\n

Qualification & Experience<\/p>\n

\tMatric
\n\tQualification – BCom, BSc (Risk Management or Finance)
\n\tAt least 5 \u2013 8 years Operational Risk Management, Insurance\/Financial Risk Management.<\/p>\n
