Branded Retail Channel.Commercial Operations SA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Sales Strategy Development and Alignment<\/p>\n<p>\tLead the design and continuous refinement of the Group sales strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market dynamics across OpCos.<br \/>\n\tProactively monitor and analyse market trends, competitive challenges, and technological advancements across our footprint and globally to identify potential opportunities and threats<br \/>\n\tWork closely with Group Commercial, Marketing, and Technology teams to translate commercial strategy into executable sales plans for different markets.<br \/>\n\tBenchmark and analyse best-in-class global and regional sales practices to inform strategy design.<br \/>\n\tTranslate the Group Strategy into a clear and actionable roadmap with defined KPIs and milestones for in-country execution<br \/>\n\tAbility to use data analytics tools to inform sales strategy, segment targeting, and performance interventions.<\/p>\n<p>OpCo Engagement and Support<\/p>\n<p>\tAct as the Group liaison for sales capability development and performance optimization across all OpCos.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate structured engagements with OpCo sales leaders to assess execution gaps and support local strategy refinement.<br \/>\n\tDrive implementation of localization of group strategies to reflect customer, competitive and regulatory nuances of each market.<\/p>\n<p>Capability Development and Enhancement<\/p>\n<p>\tDesign and deploy group-wide sales capability playbooks and frameworks including tools, processes, and performance standards.<br \/>\n\tOversee the rollout of digital sales platforms, CRM tools, and automation initiatives to drive frontline productivity and customer engagement.<br \/>\n\tAct as a central point of expertise, developing and disseminating group-wide best practices, frameworks and key capabilities across all Opcos.<\/p>\n<p>Sales Transformation and Innovation<\/p>\n<p>\tDrive transformation initiatives to modernize the sales function, including migration to omnichannel models and integration of digital sales capabilities.<br \/>\n\tPilot innovative sales models tailored to underserved, hyper-competitive and high-growth customer segments.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with technology and product teams to enable the commercialization of new services and offerings.<\/p>\n<p>Governance, Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure all sales-related activities comply with group policies, local regulations, and ethical standards.<br \/>\n\tLead the development of standardized sales operating procedures, KPIs, and incentive structures across the Group.<br \/>\n\tPresent strategy updates and performance reviews to Group Executives, Committees and Senior management as required.<br \/>\n\tBuild strong collaborative relationships with Group and OpCo-level functions including Marketing, Finance, Technology, Customer Experience, and HR.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Education:<\/p>\n<p>\t4 year Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Essential)<br \/>\n\tMaster\u2019s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification (Preferred)<br \/>\n\tRelevant certifications in Strategy, Sales Leadership, or Digital Transformation (Advantageous)<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum of 8 -10 years\u2019 experience in commercial strategy, sales transformation, or business development, preferably within a multinational or telecoms\/FMCG, with at least 5 years in a strategic or sales leadership role.<br \/>\n\tProven track record in developing and implementing commercial and go-to-market strategies, sales transformation and channel management (retail, distribution, digital), \u00a0across multiple markets<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with data-driven sales performance management, KPI frameworks, commercial reporting tools and dashboards<br \/>\n\tIn-depth understanding of consumer and business behaviour in Sub-Saharan Africa, including mobile money, prepaid models, data adoption and digital inclusion<br \/>\n\tDemonstrated success in capability development, sales enablement, and performance optimization<br \/>\n\tExperience working across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Technology, and Finance<br \/>\n\tStrong understanding of digital sales platforms, CRM systems, and sales automation tools<br \/>\n\tExposure to working in emerging markets and multicultural environments<\/p>\n<p>Competencies:<\/p>\n<p>\tStrategic Thinking: Ability to design and translate high-level commercial strategies into actionable plans<br \/>\n\tCommercial Acumen: Strong grasp of sales and marketing dynamics, revenue levers, and competitive positioning<br \/>\n\tAnalytical Skills: High proficiency in market analysis, benchmarking, and performance evaluation<br \/>\n\tCollaboration &amp;
