The Individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Strategic Planning<\/p>\n
\tStrategically manage the development and maintenance of the NHBRC strategic, annual performance and work planning policies and instruments;
\n\tFacilitate the development, adoption and publishing of the NHBRC Strategic Plan;
\n\tDirect the development and maintenance of the NHBRC planning agenda;
\n\tFacilitate the development and maintenance of measurable performance indicators for all planning instruments;
\n\tMonitor and evaluate the performance of NHBRC programmes and report thereon;
\n\tManage the submission of quarterly performance monitoring and evaluation reports to the CEO, Council and the Department;
\n\tManage and consolidate briefings and other performance reports as and when required by the CEO;
\n\tAssist in the development of the Annual Report and the publication thereof;
\n\tCo-ordinate submissions on Portfolio of Evidence as well as the performance information Body of Knowledge;
\n\tProvide quarterly performance articles for the NHBRC newsletter\/intranet;
\n\tCompile and submit reports to executives, registry, audit, fund, and National Treasury and Council;<\/p>\n
Research<\/p>\n
\tCoordinate research and data collection initiatives in support of organisation strategic\/other planning processes;
\n\tResponsible for monitoring changes within the sector and market, analysing, competitors, customers, and business operations in order to provide strategic input;
\n\tAssess current and future policy requirements to support strategic aims in conjunction with the organisation\u2019s senior management; and
\n\tResearch best practice to enable best design of the strategy;<\/p>\n
Analysis and Evaluation<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement a monitoring and evaluation system;
\n\tManage the development and collation of data and statistics for the CEO;
\n\tCo-ordinate data from MINTOP, Portfolio Committee, Technical and Select Committee on Human Settlements for the NHBRC, analyse and provide information briefings to the CEO and EXCO;
\n\tConduct SWOT analysis as part of the strategic planning process and manage;
\n\tManage, consolidate and analyse NHBRC performance reports;
\n\tResponsible for overseeing organisational reviews, communicating results to top management, and developing strategies based on organisational reviews;
\n\tAnalyse and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, internal business performance and business process improvement;
\n\tAnalyse if the sections and divisions will meet or not meet their targets and initiate interventions in place to resolve the problem;
\n\tMonitor and evaluate monthly and quarterly organizational performance;
\n\tManage and oversee secretarial services to management committees;
\n\tMonitor progress on EXCO and management resolutions; and
\n\tManage team performance within the section.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tMust hold an NQF 7 qualification in Management Sciences or Public Administration;
\n\tPossession of a relevant NQF Level Nine (9) qualification in Management Sciences and Public Administration will be highly advantageous;
\n\tMinimum ten (10) years\u2019 experience in Strategic Planning;
\n\tMinimum five (5) years\u2019 relevant Institutional Planning at Senior Management service level;<\/p>\n
