Job Objectives<\/p>\n
\tProvide support and actively participate in all Financial Services projects and operational support related\u00a0activities including but not limited to: account reconciliations and resolution of in-store financial services\u00a0transactional activities, finops guidance and general project support.
\n\t\u00a0Ensure the accurate and timeous delivery of management report inputs. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly\u00a0financial transactional information as required and ensure compliant data storage and accessibility for future\u00a0reference: reporting, customer request, audit etc\u00a0
\n\tProvide support during the implementation and streamlining of finance systems and procedures through\u00a0automation, control implementation and monitoring.
\n\t\u00a0Participate in various Financial Services projects generally. Act as a financial services participant.
\n\t\u00a0Maintain relationships with the various divisions and other stakeholders (divisions, store managers etc).\u00a0
\n\t\u00a0Effectively partake and give feedback in meetings with various stakeholders in the financial services area with\u00a0both internal and external parties.
\n\t\u00a0Prepare communication and provide support to store management regarding various in-store queries and\u00a0controls and provide them with the necessary guidance to ensure a smooth in-store transactional experience.
\n\t\u00a0Work closely with the audit function to ensure that all risks and related areas of reconciliations are identified\u00a0for audit purposes – at an in-store, Divisional and Head Office level. Communicate with, participate in and\u00a0support all audit activities and closing of findings etc
\n\t\u00a0Synthesize and communicate project and business issues on an on-going basis, support the team with the\u00a0group\u2019s awareness of major business and Financial Services issues, and help to prevent escalations, where\u00a0possible.
\n\t\u00a0Actively share insights and information with relevant stakeholders – Act as a financial services knowledge\u00a0resource for functional teams and provide knowledge transfer to team members as necessary<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBCom Finance, Commercial or equivalent – (essential)\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t1-3 years relevant experience in the Financial Services industry: operational process level in-store transactional activities and account reconciliations at a group level with IFRS, Tax and VAT knowledge – (essential).\u00a0
\n\tExposure to and an understanding of Corporate, Retail, and\/or Customer interfacing environment in a similar\u00a0role (non sector specific) – (preferred).
\n\t\u00a0Solid Advanced Excel, Accounting package exposure (like SAP, etc.) – (essential).
\n\t\u00a0Exposure to SAP – (preferred).<\/p>\n
