MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and facilitate the implementation and maintenance of a fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk Framework, which includes the Operational Risk, Financial Risk, Strategic Risk and IT Risk, within Land Bank thereby safeguarding the Land Bank, its assets, customers, reputation and the interests of stakeholders by identifying as well as managing all threats to the achievement of its business objectives.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Facilitate and manage the implementation and maintenance of a fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk Management Framework that aligns to the Banks core risk strategy<\/p>\n
\tMaintain updates to the ERMF, including sub frameworks
\n\tCreate awareness and training
\n\tTrain Champions and Management
\n\tTrain and create awareness
\n\tERMF tools as part of systems Build
\n\tERMF inclusive in RCSA
\n\tIntegrate Reporting(Board, Management Committees)
\n\tAssist with Risk and Governance collation of pack
\n\tERM analysis, root cause analysis and risk assessment recommendations to Exco and Board
\n\tMonitoring and updating the Strategic Enterprise Risk Register
\n\tMonitoring consistent application of ERM
\n\tKeep a register of Top ERM risks
\n\tEmerging Risk trends
\n\tEnsure capturing of all ERM incidents
\n\tReview SLA and business processes<\/p>\n
Develop and facilitate the implementation and maintenance of a fit-for-purpose Operational Risk Management Framework<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and maintain a fit-for-purpose Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) aligned to the latest methodologies and best practice
\n\tEnsure the consistent implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework within the organisation and alignment to strategic goals
\n\tDevelop and maintain Operational risk policies, manuals and procedures
\n\tLiaise with Head: Operational Risk and business units on risk related matters
\n\tAnalyse business unit risk reports and provide appropriate recommendations
\n\tEnsure risk reports are produced, monitored and discussed with management in line with the ERM framework
\n\tProvide support to business unit management in carrying out their respective risk management responsibilities
\n\tRepresent risk at key stakeholder forums and committees
\n\tFacilitate proper allocation of responsibility and accountability (i.e. DOP)
\n\tConduct risk & control self-assessments on new products, and strategic initiatives within the bank
\n\tAssist in the identification and quantification of the Bank\u2019s risk appetite
\n\tCo-ordinate and facilitate workshops on the top risks of the organisation, identify, assess, measure, monitor and report on the risks
\n\tDeveloping and facilitating the collation, analysis and reporting of key risk indicators, and instituting a process for escalation and addressing identified control weaknesses
\n\tSupport BU\u2019s risk owners and champions in preparation for risk assessments
\n\tMonitor and review the documentation from operational risk tools and other reporting in BUs to ensure consistency in terms of delivery within timeframes<\/p>\n
Facilitate the reporting of ERM for Board and Management committees reporting processes by creating an effective reporting mechanism.<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement a framework for reporting
\n\tDevelop reporting dashboards
\n\tEnsure information is integrated in a timely manner
\n\tEnsure accuracy of ORM reporting and information<\/p>\n
Stakeholder engagement \u00a0and coordination of operational risk related committees, meetings, initiatives\u2026etc.<\/p>\n
\tCo-ordinate Enterprise Risk Committee (ERCO) meetings
\n\tSupport BU management to ensure that strategic decisions within the business areas take full accountability of the current and emerging enterprise risk profile
\n\tRecommend value add risk management solutions to reduce the risk of re- occurrence and impact
\n\tEnsure that risk issues identified are monitored, reported, escalated to relevant person\/s & Committee\/s and corrective actions are taken<\/p>\n

Preferred Minimum Education and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tRelevant 4 year tertiary risk management degree or equivalent qualification (operational risk)
\n\t5-8 years Experience in \u00a0Enterprise and\/or Operational Risk Management
\n\t5 years Experience within a risk or auditing environment
\n\t3 years Experience in a leadership or management position<\/p>\n
