Description<\/p>\n
\tRequired to perform various heavy maintenance duties including, but not limited to:
\n\tConduct heavy maintenance inspections;
\n\tConduct routine inspections on various mechanical systems on the aircraft;
\n\tConduct fault finding and rectify based on the fault;
\n\tPerform C checks;
\n\tPerform thorough daily inspections of the aircraft to identify any potential issues or defects;
\n\tConduct necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft;
\n\tAdhere to established maintenance procedures and safety standards;
\n\tAll activities must be properly recorded and signed off as per SACAA requirements ensuring that all the required legal aspects are complied with;
\n\tHealth and Safety requirements must always be complied with to ensure Personal and other Personnel Safety, Fire and Accident\/lncident preventions;
\n\tEnsure that the work area, equipment, and tooling are properly maintained and safe prior to starting any job to prevent accidents or incidents to aircraft and staff;
\n\tApply analytical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions;
\n\tCommunicate clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or Equivalent;
\n\tTrade test Certificate (Aircraft Mechanical) (Essential);
\n\tHeavy Maintenance experience (Essential);
\n\tLicensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737-800 (Essential);
\n\tCertified on CFM56-7B series engines (Essential);
\n\tLicensed AME with a SACAA A & C license on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous);
\n\tCertified on CFM-LEAP series engines (Advantageous);
\n\tMinimum of 15 years aviation maintenance experience (Essential);
\n\tPrevious experience working as an Aviation Technician on B737-800 (Essential);
\n\tOJT experience (essential);
\n\tPrevious experience working as an Aviation Technician on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous);
\n\tWillingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
\n\tMust be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
\n\tValid South-African passport holder;
\n\tSound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
\n\tProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint).\u00a0<\/p>\n
