\tSupports health, safety and environmental aspects at operational work level, to ensure compliance with HSE programs and procedures on shift level on a local level<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tMaintain FLS HSE Policies and procedures to comply with statutory legal requirements and FLS HSE Standards.
\n\tEnsure all HSE policies, procedures, rules are implemented and adhered to.
\n\tDevelop, manage, and measure the business unit HSE objectives to align with FLS group KPI and performance.
\n\tImplement and Maintain FLS HSE Program and Integration Management System (FLS System).
\n\tAble to understand, interpret and implement site HSE Gap Analysis action and meet the timeline.
\n\tEnsuring audits and actions are carried out as required to maintain the company’s accreditation to the standards.
\n\tEnsure HSE initiatives (Incidents and Injury, and ESG) are implemented to improve HSE performance and align with business zero emission target.
\n\tLead incident investigation and assist departments to arrive at the root cause.
\n\tDrive and assist with management of change.
\n\tEstablish site Hazard identification and Risk Assessment and review implement job task risk assessments with the team.
\n\tEnsure legal compliance status is always maintained. Inform the plant and regional HSE manager of any changes and their implications to the business.
\n\tTrain the site team on HSE to be self-sufficient, Create and maintain HSE training calendar based on competency plan.
\n\tCarry out inspections, safety walks, internal audits in a timely manner.
\n\tAct as a contact person for the authorities, fire brigade, and local consultants regarding HSE issues.
\n\tAddress all workplace injury compensation related matters.
\n\tAdvise on statutory and safety, health, compliance and best practices and applications.
\n\tEnsure FLS CMP & EMP implementation and response in compliance with requirements and act as the site emergency officer, during crisis scenario.
\n\tEnsure proactive management of site visitors & hock site contractors.<\/p>\n
What you bring<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or NQF7 in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
\n\tInternal auditor (ISO45001 & 14001)
\n\tMinimum of 8 years’ experience working within the manufacturing industry (Engineering\/Metal).
\n\tKnowledge of Legal compliance requirements in OHS act and relevant regulations, including Machine Safety standards, etc.<\/p>\n
Knowledge, Skill and Capabilities<\/p>\n
\tStrong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and to work in a team.
\n\tAbility to implement IMS.
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of Intelex applications (incident management, Documents management.
\n\tGood knowledge in MS Office- Persuasive skills to enable employees to adhere to the HSE requirements.
\n\tExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
\n\tKnowledge of business HSE integration.<\/p>\n
