{"id":20047,"date":"2025-09-26T10:02:13","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T10:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/travel-finance-controller-product-marketing-specialist-social-media-specialist\/"},"modified":"2025-12-27T00:24:55","modified_gmt":"2025-12-27T00:24:55","slug":"travel-finance-controller-product-marketing-specialist-social-media-specialist","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=20047","title":{"rendered":"Travel Finance Controller \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Product Marketing Specialist \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Social Media Specialist \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Specialist Risk and Compliance (TPRM) \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Supervisor Technical &amp; Payments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tasks\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Operational Delivery\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tManagement of the Travel &amp; Expense Team and providing guidance from an operational standpoint, aligned to company policies.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tManaged the End-to-End travel invoice processing, query management and reconciliation for all travel related vendors.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide month-end reporting for all Travel &amp; Expense related transactions and relevant balance sheet reconciliations and disclosures, aligned to standard operating procedures.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tFacilitate and maintain effective internal and external customer relations.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsure all supporting documents are verified from a VAT and compliance standpoint.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tReview and verify travel costs aligned to Travel Policy.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tSort, code and match travel costs and invoices via the approved ERP system.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnsure Travel related clearing is completed and reconciled within agreed timelines.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tReview and provide support on the Balance Sheet accounts relating to Travel.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tTrack and report all exceptions for governance and operations meetings.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tReconcile Travel and related transactions.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMonitor all Lodge Card accounts to ensure payments are up to date and avoid finance charges.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tResearch and resolve all travel cost discrepancies and queries.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMaintain vendor files and supporting documents for audit and review purposes.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCorrespond with Travel Desk and vendors regarding queries, payments, and allocations.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProduce monthly reports and assist with month end closing.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide supporting documentation for audits and VAT recoveries\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Administration\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Daily responsibility:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tConduct stand-up with operations team.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAttend to daily operational deliverables aligned to agreed SLA\u2019s, Service Catalogue and Travel Policy\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tPreparation and validation of all travel costs aligned to Travel Policy\u00a0<br \/>\n\tFollow-up on all outstanding invoices with the Travel desk\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMonitor Travel accrual accounts.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tFollow-up on Travel related queries with Finance Business Partners, Travel Desk, Procurement and Accounts Payable\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Monthly responsibility:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tPerform all travel related vendor reconciliations for payment.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tReconciliation of lodge cards, with supporting documents\u00a0<br \/>\n\tPerform GL recons and resolve old items across all GL accounts.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tMaintaining of supporting documentation for audit purposes\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAttend operational stakeholder management meetings\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>People Management\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tSupervise a team of administrators to ensure effective daily operations.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\t\u00a0Support the line manager for the area to develop a high performing team by conducting daily and weekly operational performance discussions and assisting employees to prepare the portfolio of evidence for formal performance development discussions.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCoach and mentor team members on a daily basis on how to improve their own productivity and use of MultiChoice\u2019s processes and systems.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tBased on training plans agreed with the line manager of the area, monitor team members to ensure that planned training is undertaken.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEstablish and maintain a succession plan for the team.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tTogether with the line manager for the area, interview candidates to join the team and provide input into the recruitment decision. The line manager for the area is the final decision-maker on who joins the team.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tObtain the workforce and recruitment plans created by the line manager and plan execution within given timelines. Make recommendations to the line manager on how to improve the plans and suggest how resources could be reallocated in case of excessive workload.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\n\tReview and update the team\u2019s role descriptions on at least an annual basis to ensure that they are fit for purpose and contain all the accountabilities of each team member.
