Description<\/p>\n
\tContributes to research projects by Develop and validate analytical methods using HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-OES\/MS, and related technologies.
\n\tPerform routine analytical testing of plant-based and other samples.
\n\tImplement ISO 17025 quality requirements within the quality control (QC) facility.
\n\tPlans and coordinates own work activities aligned with project plans
\n\tSupervises allocated HR resources
\n\tAssists in managing project budgets and adheres to financial controls
\n\tConducts research support, diagnostics, and other services under supervision
\n\tRenders technical services and optimizes equipment\/processes\/systems
\n\tProvides input into the optimisation of new technologies
\n\tCollects, captures, and processes data with basic analysis
\n\tProvides verbal and written reports on activities and results
\n\tPresents findings to stakeholders (including training\/advisory roles)
\n\tAdheres to quality standards
\n\tComplies with SHE\/OHS regulations and procedures
\n\tEvidence of contributions to publications or presentations (e.g., farmers’ days)
\n\tDemonstrates measurable outcomes and project impact
\n\tSupport capacity development and training of junior staff.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or BTech\/BSc in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related field.
\n\tMinimum of 3 years relevant experience in analytical chemistry research.
\n\tFundamental knowledge of chromatography and analytical instrumentation.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure while ensuring timely and high-quality analysis.
\n\tExperience in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory will be an advantage.
\n\tKnowledge of laboratory quality management systems.
\n\tGood communication skills (verbal and written).
\n\tStrong computer literacy.
\n\tRegistration with a relevant scientific or professional body will be an added advantage.
\n\tValid driver’s license will be added an Advantage<\/p>\n
