\tAre you driven by the vision of a more sustainable future? We\u2019re seeking a passionate Sustainability & Environmental Scientist to join our team and lead the integration of sustainability principles into infrastructure and environmental projects across AECOM globally.<\/p>\n
Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tIn this role, you will champion sustainability throughout the project lifecycle\u2014developing environmental and sustainability outputs, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and guiding junior professionals. You\u2019ll be instrumental in embedding sustainable design, climate resilience, and circular economy principles into infrastructure development.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tLead and integrate sustainable infrastructure strategies into project planning and execution.
\n\tDevelop and coordinate environmental and sustainability studies, including climate risk and resource efficiency.
\n\tPrepare high-quality EIA\/ESIA reports with sustainability-focused inputs and performance indicators.
\n\tApply legislative and sustainability frameworks to identify project triggers and compliance pathways.
\n\tParticipate in interdisciplinary reporting and resolve discrepancies in sustainability and environmental data.
\n\tCoordinate with authorities for environmental and sustainability approvals.
\n\tSupport client meetings and contribute to sustainability-focused technical proposals.<\/p>\n
Sustainability & Technical Excellence<\/p>\n
\tAnalyse environmental and sustainability data using advanced tools and methodologies.
\n\tEnsure reporting quality aligns with client, authority, and global sustainability standards (e.g., SDGs, IFC Performance Standards, Envision).
\n\tWork within budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
\n\tMaintain and develop technical skills in sustainable infrastructure, climate adaptation, and ESG integration.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
\n\tMinimum of 5 years relevant experience in sustainability, environmental assessments, and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n
