\tWe are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to join our team as an Assistant Installation Technician. The successful candidate will assist the Installation Technician that serves the Clients with onsite installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks (Automatic Banking Machines). Training clients on the process and usage of ABM. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with a strong track record of adhering to company policies, implementing best practices, and demonstrating sound judgement in achieving organisational goals. A clear understanding of the critical role that technical support plays in business performance is essential. The role demands a results-oriented individual who aligns with the values of the company.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Effective installation and maintenance<\/p>\n
\tAssist to install or de-install new ABM on client\u2019s premises.
\n\tAssist to provide training to the client on the day of installation and ensure completion of training certificate.
\n\tAssist to hand in paperwork related to the installation to the Inception Office Administrator the following day.
\n\tAssist with cleaning ABM Inside: (Use blower, brush, and wipe clean (Check that hinge bolts are tightened)
\n\tAssist with cleaning ABM Outside: (All labels present and in good condition)
\n\tAssist with checking all cable connections: (All cables neatly cable-tied)
\n\tAssist with cleaning and check frame rail.
\n\tAssist with servicing and clean canister: (Check corner and gears. Verify display of correct canister number on screen RFID tag).
\n\tAssist with servicing and clean Bill acceptor: (Clean lenses).
\n\tAssist with confirming dual modem (Yes or No). Record sim number.\u00a0
\n\tAssist with verifying that ABM SIM card send\/receive \/ Open and close door.
\n\tAssist with verifying that ABM Serial Number: (Barcode number of ABM).
\n\tAssist with verifying ABM Flash Number.
\n\tAssist with servicing and clean batteries: (Check connections and conditions of battery).
\n\tCheck power on batteries.
\n\tAssist with verifying time displayed by ABM.
\n\tAssist with verifying date displayed by ABM.
\n\tAssist with verifying software Version: (01 or 05).
\n\tAssist with servicing and clean printer.
\n\tAssist with verifying signal strength.
\n\tConfirm extended aerial.\u00a0
\n\tAssist with testing device with notes.<\/p>\n
Safety Operating Procedure<\/p>\n
\tAt all times during your daily task and installation wear the provided Personal Protective Equipment.
\n\tDaily check equipment that it is well maintained and fit to be used.
\n\tEnsure compliance with company site safety rules and procedures.
\n\tMaintain a positive interest in health, safety and well-being initiatives.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stock and Seals<\/p>\n
\tAssist with collecting and ensuring allocated equipment and tools are loaded after the installation.
\n\tCollect and deliver seals at Cash Centres.
\n\tAssist to ensure that seals in the stop loss bags corresponds with the list from the office.
\n\tAssist to ensure that all canisters are properly sealed when inserted at a client.<\/p>\n
Other Ad hoc responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAssist with repairing ABM\u2019s on client\u2019s sites and ensure in working. condition before leaving the premises.
\n\tAssist with docking canisters at the Cash Centre \u201cRegions\u201d.
\n\tEnsure that canisters are docked at the factory under supervision.<\/p>\n
Health and Safety<\/p>\n
\tReport all safety incidents to the relevant people.
\n\tDiscuss all safety incidents on all levels.
\n\tFollow-up on any activities assigned through safety. meeting\/committee\/representative\/ \u00a0management.
\n\tComply with safety policies and procedures at workplace.
\n\tDistribute safety information as and when required.<\/p>\n
Ideal Candidate:<\/p>\n
Qualification & Technical Experience Required<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ NQF level 4.
\n\t2 years proven experience as an Assistant Installation Technician or similar role
\n\tA good understanding of the tools and equipment used in installations\/Technical Aptitude.
\n\tproficiency with hand and power tools.<\/p>\n
