We are looking for:<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Handler who takes pride in maintaining order, accuracy, and efficiency in stock handling and storage. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to work in a physically demanding environment, and committed to supporting the smooth running of warehouse operations. You will need to be a team player who can follow procedures, communicate effectively, and ensure that stock is managed with care and precision.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and abilities:<\/p>\n
\tBasic knowledge of warehouse operations, stock handling, and inventory procedures.
\n\tUnderstanding of stock rotation principles (e.g., FIFO).
\n\tStrong organisational and time management skills.
\n\tAbility to operate manual handling equipment (trolleys, pallet jacks, etc.).
\n\tAttention to detail when sorting, checking, and relocating stock.
\n\tGood communication skills and attention to detail<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tReceive and offload stock from incoming shipments and containers.
\n\tSort stock for storage as per warehouse sections.
\n\tTransfer stock to the correct bin location and shelf, ensuring proper categorisation.
\n\tMove bulk stock to mezzanine storage as required.
\n\tReturn misplaced or wrongly pulled stock to the correct locations.
\n\tResponsible for all bulk transfers between inter-warehouses and branches by loading and offloading company stock as per SOP.
\n\tLoading and offloading of stock needed for day-to-day operations.
\n\tClean, organise, and replenish shelves to maintain neat stock displays.
\n\tAdd barcode stickers to shelves and products as required.
\n\tMaintain and organise mezzanine storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and order.
\n\tRotating stock to prevent expiry or obsolescence. (e.g., FIFO: First In, First Out)
\n\tAssist with sectional stock-taking activities and cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory counts.
\n\tAssist Pickers in locating missing or misplaced stock to ensure order fulfilment.
\n\tReport discrepancies to the Stock Controller, Administrator or Supervisor.
\n\tIsolating and inspecting damaged or defective products.
\n\tReporting issues to the Stock Controller, Administrator or Supervisor for further action.
\n\tLoad courier trucks and assist drivers in preparing vehicles for delivery.
\n\tResponding to queries about stock availability and location.
\n\tSupplying stock to different departments as needed.
\n\tAssist with picking and packing when needed.<\/p>\n

\tMatric \/ Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
\n\tPrevious warehouse or stockroom experience (advantageous but not essential).
\n\tForklift license (advantageous but not compulsory).
\n\tPhysically fit with stamina for lifting and moving stock.<\/p>\n
