REQUIREMENTS\u00a0:<\/p>\n
\tPossess a relevant NQF Level 8 qualification or equivalent in the field of Law, Accounting, Internal Auditing, or Risk Management.
\n\tA minimum of five (5) years\u2019 experience as a member of audit committees or boards of directors is required. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in chairing Audit and Risk Committees or Boards of Directors, and those with a legal background.\u00a0<\/p>\n
DUTIES\u00a0:<\/p>\n
\tFulfil oversight responsibilities in respect of risk management, internal controls, governance, information technology, compliance, external and internal audit, performance information, and annual financial statements.
\n\tSupport the Accounting Officer in the effective execution of his\/her responsibilities. Contribute to building trust and confidence in the management of the Department.
\n\tLead the execution of responsibilities as set out in the DWYPD\u2019s Audit and Risk Committee Charter and other relevant legislation. Provide direction to the Committee and report to the Accounting Officer and the Executive Authority.<\/p>\n
