The role<\/p>\n
\tProvides technical support in mechanical maintenance of Sandvik equipment to achieve a high level of equipment reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tFollow instructions of work within time constraints to meet established delivery targets.
\n\tAdjust equipment and repairs\/replaces defective parts components or systems per instructions.
\n\tInspect equipment for proper performance and determines faults and malfunctions.
\n\tIdentify additional repairs, compiles parts and labour estimates.
\n\tTest repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.
\n\tActively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
\n\tStays current with industry, customer and product developments and technical best practices.<\/p>\n
Profile Required:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
\n\tTrade Certificate of Competence – Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Millwright accompanied by proof of apprenticeship modules or apprenticeship contract\u00a0
\n\t4 years\u2019 experience with mechanised mining equipment
\n\tExperience on maintaining earth moving equipment
\n\tKnowledge of Sandvik underground product line
\n\tUnderstanding of engineering drawings Sandvik product manuals and schematics
\n\tExcellent interpersonal and communication skills
\n\tExcellent report writing skills
\n\tAttention to detail
\n\tEnglish literacy
\n\tComputer literacy
\n\tValid driver license<\/p>\n
