\tLocated\u00a0in Nigel\u00a0(Ekurhuleni) at the\u00a0production site\u00a0
\n\tMay also be required to visit suppliers and other Alstom sites\/offices
\n\tWork with Cross Functional Teams to execute Sourcing Strategies i.e. Central Teams, Suppliers, Projects Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supply-Chain, Quality, Engineering, Economic Development, Legal, Finance, etc.<\/p>\n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
\tSupport Sourcing Manager in leading the team
\n\tPlay in leading role in Sourcing Projects (RFx) supporting the Buyer
\n\tTo execute day-to-day buying at a specific region and ensure that purchasing transactions are directed through the correct procure-to-pay channel (e.g., emergency order vs pre-sourced order).
\n\tIntegrated in each domain team, the Buyer will deploy commodity strategy to serve local requirements while keeping in line with the Global Strategy at Central (ALSTOM)
\n\tThe Lead Buyer will also be required to manage the contractual relationship with suppliers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
SET UP FULL SUPPLIER SELECTION PROCESS<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers
\n\tLead project negotiation
\n\tMonitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
\n\tEnsure work package sheet commitment respect
\n\tPrepare Business Award
\n\tPromote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
\n\tCoordinate project with all m\u00e9tiers
\n\tEnsure the on-time delivery and quality are secured especially during the ramp-up phase of the project<\/p>\n
SUPPORT COMMODITY STRATEGY<\/p>\n
\tConsolidate the commodity needs, inputs
\n\tParticipate actively to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
\n\tProvide imputes to build differentiation
\n\tSupport of Commodity Manager in tender phase
\n\tRepresent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions.
\n\tEnsure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
\n\tApply the Alstom Procurement process and provide return on experience.<\/p>\n
BUILD SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP<\/p>\n
\tSupport global supplier panel relationship
\n\tManage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
\n\tMeasure the supplier’s performance and develop them in coordination with supplier Quality Team
\n\tAssess properly all risky suppliers and manage the associated mitigation plan
\n\tManage initial issues before escalation to line manager
\n\tMonitor Corporate Social Responsibility engagements and deviations
\n\tRespect Alstom code of ethics and guidelines<\/p>\n

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS\/DESIRED KNOWLEDGE\/EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOUR<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent. BS or BA in Purchasing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology or other business-related field.
\n\tMinimum 5-7 years of experience in Procurement, or same\/similar Industry work experience (e.g., quality\/engineering\/costing\/ etc).
\n\tProcurement professional background and\/or Quality \/supply chain\/technical background.
\n\tSolid working experience, with sourcing\/supply chain exposure (manufacturing \/ automotive \/ rail industries preferred), with at least 3 years in management
\n\tPurchasing professional background and\/or\u00a0Quality \/supply chain\/technical background
\n\tFluent English
