Overview<\/p>\n
\tThe Southern Africa SME \u2013 Specialist sales reports to Africa SME Division Lead.
\n\tThis position will not have direct reports, and the jobholder must be able to operate at a strategic and operational level.
\n\tLead accountability for developing and executing a SME Sales strategy which maximizes revenue and profit for SME products across Southern Africa in Africa Division.
\n\tManage and execute a strategic sales pipeline to drive growth in existing SME portfolios across Financial Institutions (FIs) and non-FIs. Identify and convert new business opportunities, develop ecosystems within the SME segment, and lead the commercialization of signed deals to ensure measurable revenue impact.
\n\tThis role will be tasked to help achieve the SME P&L objectives in those markets. The position will also be tasked to support or lead specific regional Expert Sales initiatives that support MasterCard Southern Africa business and revenue goals.
\n\tIdentifying business and product innovation opportunities from SME payment segments.
\n\tProviding subject matter expertise and end-to-end project management \/ delivery by liaising with cross- functional partners.
\n\tDo you have a deep knowledge and understanding of Commercial Payment products and services within the SME space?

Qualifications Required:<\/p>\n
\tDeep knowledge and understanding of SME products and services (SME Card), with significant experience in sales and business development within the SME space and relevant tertiary qualifications.
\n\tProgressive business experience, with a strong track record in the payments industry and deep knowledge of consumer payments.
\n\tStrong account management experience – ability to understand customer and constituent needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends and the competitive landscape.
\n\tStrong project and relationship management skills – extensive experience and a proven track record of managing simultaneous initiatives, multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment, across multiple geographic locations, solving problems and applying effective planning skills to deliver multiple initiatives with external and internal clients.
\n\tStrong negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to execute through others who do not report directly.
\n\tHigh preference for action – results driven and with a disciplined approach to deliver sales targets.
\n\tStrong analytical and team working skills – ability to identify issues and proactively resolve issues directly or through escalation to appropriate Partners\/stakeholders.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills – excellent writing and presentation skills, extensive experience in communicating in international environment at senior management level.<\/p>\n
