\tManage the design of cybersecurity best practices

\n\tConduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing and incident response planning
\n\tOversee implementation of security controls such as firewalls, encryption and access control
\n\tPromote security awareness among employees and stakeholders through training and communication.<\/p>\n
Governance and Risk<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and maintain the ICT governance framework (such as CGICT), including policies, procedures and standards
\n\tDefine and communicate the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders in ICT governance.
\n\tLead in defining and implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the ICT business unit aligned with industry-accepted ICT standards (e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO, etc.)
\n\tPrepare and present regular reports on ICT governance and security metrics to management and relevant committees.
\n\tEnsure compliance with relevant data protection applicable laws, regulations and standards (e.g. data privacy laws such as POPIA).
\n\tDirects and manages the development and implementation of ICT operational policies, standards, practices, procedures and systems and monitors their application and compliance.
\n\tAssist in scoping, planning, executing and monitoring ICT disaster recovery.
\n\tDetermines ICT risk and executes plans that mitigate potential risks, ensuring business continuity in the face of unforeseen events.
\n\tEstablish processes for the identification, assessment and mitigation of ICT risks.
\n\tFacilitate the maintenance of ICT risks and Issues Registers.<\/p>\n
Manage Delivery<\/p>\n
\tImplement and monitor Service Level Agreements with business.
\n\tProvides advice, guidance and recommendations to address the ICT needs of the FIC, considering the unique requirements of each FIC division and identifying areas where productivity, efficiency, and accuracy can be enhanced to support informed business decisions.
\n\tEnsure seamless network integration and that network infrastructure components work harmoniously to meet the diverse demands of the business.
\n\tAnalyses FIC\u2019s demand for ICT services, ensures value for money in delivering such services and recommends that key stakeholders make the required investments to provide such services while considering business constraints.
\n\tOversee and manage the development of robust disaster planning and data backup strategies, establishing and maintaining reliable data backup systems and guaranteeing the integrity and availability of vital information.
\n\tMonitor and manage project progress to ensure timely and successful delivery.
\n\tKeeps abreast of new methods and trends in ICT technology and products to advance and improve the FIC\u2019s ICT capability and propose forward-looking solutions.<\/p>\n

\n\tEngage with regional and international bodies (e.g. ESAAMLG, EGMONT) for best practices.
\n\tContribute to the operational management of the FIC by participating in management structures and committees.
\n\tCollaborate with team members, executives, and stakeholders, as well as convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
\n\tEnsure effective management of relationships with external vendors and service providers.
\n\tEnsure effective communication and collaboration within the ICT team.
\n\tCoordinate with other divisions to identify and implement technology solutions.<\/p>\n
Audits Coordination<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the smooth execution of ICT audits conducted by both internal and external auditors.
\n\tDocument ICT processes, configurations, and controls to provide clear and consistent records for auditors.
\n\tEvaluate and present the audit findings to senior management and key stakeholders.<\/p>\n
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in information technology systems, Commerce majoring in IT, or Computer Science (NQF level 7).
\n\tA post-grad qualification in IT or related field.
\n\t10 years\u2019 experience in senior ICT management involving the development, implementation and operation of ICT business systems and the management of ICT business unit.
\n\t10 years of management experience and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and large technical and professional staff groups.
\n\t10 years\u2019 experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
\n\t10 years\u2019 experience in leading the implementation of ICT infrastructure projects
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in implementation of emerging technologies (4IR)
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in ICT governance and reporting to oversight functions such as audit and risk committees.
\n\tMust have ICT governance certification (CGEIT or COBIT 2019 or COBIT 5 or similar).
\n\tMust have information security certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or similar.
\n\tCloud certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or similar will be advantageous.
\n\tRisk management certificate such as Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or similar will be advantageous.
\n\tProject management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) will be advantageous.
\n\tArchitecture certification, TOGAF certification or similar will be advantageous.
\n\tAbility to manage change in the public sector.
\n\tKnowledge of data security and compliance requirements, ensuring the safety of the organisation’s ICT infrastructure.
