Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12\/equivalent qualification
\n\tHigher Certificate or Qualification in Supply Chain would be advantageous
\n\tValid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
\n\tERP working Experience
\n\t3+ years experience in a warehouse or storage environment is often preferred.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS<\/p>\n
\tAttention to detail
\n\tOrganizational skills
\n\tBasic computer skills for inventory management
\n\tSAP experience preferred
\n\tTrained to operate forklifts other warehouse equipment
\n\tPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Picking and Issuing:<\/p>\n
\tRequesting (SSR) or picking the correct materials from designated staging areas in the P& I warehouses and issuing them to the production department.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Inventory Tracking:<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining accurate daily records of stock levels, movements, and any discrepancies or usage variances using the specified inventory management systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Receiving and Storing:<\/p>\n
\tReceiving incoming materials timeously, verifying against planned production orders, and ensuring proper storage and availability for production lines.<\/p>\n
Dispatching:<\/p>\n
\tPreparing and sorting materials for dispatch to production lines, potentially including re-packing and labelling.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Logistics Support:<\/p>\n
\tAssisting with the logistics related to Raw material inventory, such as stock transfers, cycle counts and assisting with returns or collections.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Inventory Adjustments:<\/p>\n
\tMaking necessary adjustments to inventory records due for returns to warehouse, blocked for scrap, or other factors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Coordination & Communication:<\/p>\n
Working with other departments, such as purchasing, production, and quality control across various tasks which include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tVerifying received goods against picking slip (SSR).
\n\tLogging received stock into the inventory system in support of stores team.
\n\tReview and clearance of variances in consumption
\n\tMonitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies or shortages to stores supervisor and production supervisors.
\n\tReturning of unused raw materials to storage area.\u00a0
\n\tHighlighting damaged stock for isolation and ensuring blocked stock is separated accordingly.<\/p>\n
