The Africa Assurance Innovation and Digital Data Engineer (\u201cData Engineer\u201d) is responsible for the extraction of data from ERP systems for the South Africa Data Delivery Team (\u201cSA DD\u201d). \u00a0The Data Engineer will also be required to have a good understanding of key ERPs including, but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, AccPac, Navison, Sage and other common ERPs used in South Africa, and be able to construct scripts to extract data.<\/p>\n
Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tExtract data for the South Africa Assurance business and share this with our Data Analysts.
\n\tKnowledge of key ERPs including but not limited to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, AccPac, Navison, Sage and other common ERPs used in South Africa.
\n\tBe able to construct scripts that will allow for the extraction of data for core digital analytical tools.
\n\tClosely working with the Data Delivery Specialist to extract data.
\n\tParticipate in the SA DD Team\u2019s learning and sharing initiatives.
\n\tStaying abreast of developments in EY\u2019s digital solutions and developments in the market to be able to extract the appropriate data.
\n\tSupporting reactive and proactive projects related to driving demand from the South Africa Assurance business and improving service delivery from the SA DD Team.<\/p>\n
Other Requirements<\/p>\n

Experience<\/p>\n
\t1 to 2 years of work experience
\n\tStrong understanding of IT environments, IT security, networking and server architecture
\n\tProven working experience in the extraction of data
\n\tStrong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc)
\n\tSome working experience in one or more ERP\u2019s e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, AccPac, Navison and Sage
\n\tAdvantageous to have some experience in SpotFire, PowerBi, Python and Alteryx
\n\tStrong knowledge of and experience with common data tooling such as Microsoft Excel, Access and SQL Server
\n\tDemonstrate good problem solving and interpersonal skills
\n\tDeadline oriented
\n\tAbility to prioritise own work
\n\tExperience in external audit or in a professional services firm will be a positive<\/p>\n
