Project Controls Manager (Mining)<\/p>\n
\tOur client in the mining sector, based in\u00a0MooiNooi, North West, is seeking an experienced\u00a0Project Controls Manager\u00a0to oversee project controls across multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
\n\tThe successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering professional project management and consulting services, with responsibility for schedule control, contract management (NEC\/FIDIC), cost control, risk management, and project governance.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) \u2013 BSc \/ BEng \/ BTech.
\n\tAdvanced Project Management qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
\n\tMinimum of 10 years\u2019 experience in project controls and project management within the mining industry.
\n\tProven experience managing large-scale construction and installation projects.
\n\tStrong knowledge of scheduling, contract management (NEC\/FIDIC), and project risk management.
\n\tSound understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering projects in mining.
\n\tProficiency in project management systems and software (PMBOK, ERP tools, MS Project, or similar).
\n\tExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
\n\tOwn vehicle and valid Driver\u2019s Licence (essential).<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tImplement and monitor project controls, including schedule, cost, contracts, and risk management.
\n\tLead project reviews and ensure compliance with capital management and governance frameworks.
\n\tOversee project controls for both internal company projects and client-facing projects.
\n\tManage client reporting, portfolio reporting, and project health status.
\n\tPrepare and deliver management and governance reports.
\n\tOversee financial forecasting for all projects.
\n\tSupport construction teams during project execution.
\n\tProject manage internal initiatives, including the coordination of engineering specialists and contractors.
\n\tProvide specialist planning, consulting, and auditing services to client base.
\n\tDevelop and implement control schedules and systems across the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
\n\tImplement, improve, and maintain project management systems, reports, and procedures in line with PMBOK standards.
\n\tDrive continuous improvement in project and portfolio management practices.<\/p>\n
