Commercial Strategy<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement a multi-year (3-year) strategy that supports Adcock Ingram\u2019s objectives.
\n\tPlan and agree revenue targets with subordinates and CEO.
\n\tIdentify specific initiatives and allocate responsibilities to achieve defined targets.
\n\tIdentification and analysis of the macro\/micro factors that affect the market.
\n\tCreate an holistic approach to developing commercialisation plans and strategic activities such as strategic collaborations, new ventures, new products, financial performance metrics and major initiatives\/projects.
\n\tIdentify new opportunities and lead existing commercial efforts.
\n\tProvide comprehensive strategic support and leadership.
\n\tEnsure all signed off commercial activities and projects are completed as per agreed timelines.
\n\tSuccessfully manage scenario planning and opportunity modeling.
\n\tStrategic prioritization, planning & process optimization.
\n\tA well-aligned strategic and operational plan exists and is disseminated to all levels of management.<\/p>\n
Operations Management<\/p>\n
\tDeveloping and executing Prescription Division\u2019s business strategies.
\n\tSecure optimal level of resources to optimize profitability and operational efficiencies.
\n\tEnsure that the Prescription Division\u2019s manufacturing facility is operating within defined parameters, including meeting all regulatory\/GMP, and safety, quality and efficacy requirements.
\n\tSupport operational teams in identifying, prioritizing, and executing projects and deliverables.<\/p>\n
Leveraging Relationships<\/p>\n
\tCement existing intellectual property, supply and customer business relationships.
\n\tIdentify, develop and set-up new alliances and partnerships, thereby forging new business relationships.
\n\tManage collaborations with external partners.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\/Science degree, Commercial Management and\/or Finance qualification and\/or MBA.
\n\tProven 5 or more years\u2019 experience as Managing Director or other senior managerial position within the pharmaceutical industry in South Africa.
\n\tExperience in commercial, financial and legal elements of M&A processes.
\n\tExtensive knowledge of market forces influencing pharmaceutical companies, including generic medicines.
\n\tStrong operational experience combined with a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, procurement, manufacturing, healthcare regulations and the commercial elements of the business coupled with a track record of business profitability improvements and delivering growth strategies.
\n\tExcellent communication skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally, including key customers, partners, suppliers, government and regulators.
\n\tDemonstrable experience in developing strategic and operational business plans.
\n\tUnderstanding of new and\/or high value categories including amongst others oncology, biologics, biosimilars, analgesics, ophthalmology, dermatology and CNS.
\n\tUnderstanding of corporate finance (M&A) and measures of performance.<\/p>\n
