Main Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tBooyco Electronics is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SHEQ Administrator to support the implementation and maintenance of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) systems across the organization. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards, fostering a strong safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement in quality and environmental practices.<\/p>\n
Education, experience and competencies<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma and\/or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Quality Management (or related field).
\n\t1+ years\u2019 experience in SHEQ administration, preferably in the Mining, Manufacturing or industrial sector.
\n\tKnowledge of SHEQ systems and standards; certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Safety Compliance:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of SHEQ policies, procedures, and programs.
\n\tSupport safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
\n\tCollaborate with teams to ensure corrective and preventive actions are carried out.<\/p>\n
Health & Environmental Management<\/p>\n
\tMonitor compliance with health and environmental regulations.
\n\tCoordinate waste management and sustainability initiatives.
\n\tSupport employee wellness and health-related programs.<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and improve quality management systems in line with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
\n\tSupport audits and compliance assessments.
\n\tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n
Documentation & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tMaintain accurate records of SHEQ activities and incidents.
\n\tAssist in compiling reports, safety bulletins, and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.<\/p>\n
Training & Awareness<\/p>\n
\tSupport SHEQ Officer with training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
\n\tAssist in developing and reviewing safe operating procedures.<\/p>\n
Risk Management & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tConduct risk assessments and ensure effective control measures.
\n\tKeep updated with SHEQ-related legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
\n\tAct as on-site coordinator for emergency procedures when required.
