Receiving and Registration of submitted samples<\/p>\n
\tCompare information on sample with information on register or other documentation.
\n\tReceive sample on register and EMS
\n\tPrepare relevant documents as per required test\/s.
\n\tPlace samples in relevant containers as per required test\/s.<\/p>\n
Document Preparation for OIC\u2019s<\/p>\n
\tComplete OIC application and return to applicant
\n\tRegister OIC seed lots on register and complete relevant documentation.
\n\tReceive OIC-samples on register and place in relevant containers as per required test\/s.<\/p>\n
Calculation and Reporting of Results<\/p>\n
\tCalculate all germination results as per ISTA and apply tolerances.
\n\tEnter all results on register.<\/p>\n
Issuing of Laboratory Reports and OIC\u2019s<\/p>\n
Laboratory reports:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare laboratory reports on request.
\n\tInform customer when laboratory report is ready for collection<\/p>\n
OIC\u2019s:<\/p>\n
\tConfirm correct rounding (Seed calc)
\n\tPrepare preliminary OIC for confirmation purposes
\n\tInform customer when OIC\u2019s are ready for collection<\/p>\n
Record Keeping<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining all germination, purity, seed count and moisture records.
\n\tMaintaining laboratory register.
\n\tMaintaining equipment register and files.<\/p>\n
Storeroom maintenance<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining and monitoring of incoming and outgoing stock.<\/p>\n
General<\/p>\n
\tRespond to queries from Head Office, Packing, Production, Export, Marketing, Quality, Assurance Manager.
\n\tPerform any reasonable task allocated by superiors to ensure the effective functioning of the seed-testing laboratory.
\n\tAct responsibly and professionally at all times, fostering goodwill and a positive image of the Company.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (essential)
\n\tExperience in past administrative roles (1+ year)<\/p>\n
