Implementation Engineer \u2013 Insurance Systems<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in deploying and maintaining complex insurance systems. In this role, you will configure and customise the Sapiens IDIT platform to support a wide range of insurance products, workflows, and compliance requirements.
\n\tYou will be responsible for setting up products, workflows, documents, user roles, payment plans, and claims processes using IDIT setup wizards, while collaborating closely with Business Analysts to translate requirements into functional system configurations. The role also involves testing, managing promotions, supporting release pipelines, and resolving system defects.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
\n\t3\u20136 years\u2019 experience in insurance systems implementation or systems integration.
\n\tExperience with platforms such as Sapiens, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Tial, or similar.
\n\tHands-on experience with APIs (REST\/SOAP), SQL, XML\/JSON.<\/p>\n
Knowledge & Skills<\/p>\n
\tSolid understanding of short-term insurance products (motor, property, liability, commercial).
\n\tFamiliarity with FSCA, POPIA, and compliance frameworks.
\n\tStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n\tAnalytical thinker with problem-solving ability.
\n\tTechnical aptitude: application configuration, databases, business rules.
\n\tTeam player, fast learner, and comfortable in dynamic project environments.<\/p>\n
Duties \/ Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tConfigure and customise insurance products, workflows, and documents within the core system.
\n\tSet up product parameters (e.g. covers, underwriting rules, clauses).
\n\tManage system security (roles, permissions, and hierarchies).
\n\tConfigure workflows, escalations, and document templates.
\n\tSet up financial mappings (payment plans, GL codes, dunning steps).
\n\tMaintain system reference data and business rules.
\n\tSupport integrations (APIs, data uploads, external services).
\n\tConduct unit testing and promote configurations through environments (Dev ? SIT).
\n\tAnalyse system defects and provide resolutions.
\n\tCollaborate with BAs on system setup workbooks and business requirements.
\n\tWork within release cycles, ensuring quality and compliance.<\/p>\n
This is a techno-functional role that requires both business knowledge and technical expertise to ensure seamless system integration and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
