Purpose of Job<\/p>\n
\tThe main purpose of this role is to ensure efficient operations of the plant. This position requires dayshift operator and will report to the Production Foreman Dayshift cyanide plant<\/p>\n
Key Accountabilities<\/p>\n
\tPhysical labor intensive dayshift activities to support plant operation in a high heat environment
\n\tDriving of forklift and use of portable tool
\n\tOperating of Jackhammer
\n\tThe taking of plant samples
\n\tProcess safe making
\n\tConduct visual inspections on process equipment
\n\tIdentifying\/solving problems
\n\tExamine safety equipment and complete safety checklist
\n\tReport process deviations to foreman
\n\tDefect reporting
\n\tSafety and housekeeping
\n\tCleaning of the plant
\n\tComply to all OSH ACT requirements
\n\tComply to Sasol safety rules and codes
\n\tCommunicate and assist team members in controlling the process
\n\tPositive interacting with clients
\n\tLiaison with plant personnel and other plants on site
\n\tSupport Sasol values and goals
\n\tAdhere and manage own personal development (PDP)<\/p>\n
Formal Education<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with English, Mathematics & Science
\n\tNQF 4 (wish)
\n\tDriver\u2019s license (must)
\n\tForklift license (wish)<\/p>\n
Work Experience<\/p>\n
\tExperience in the Cyanide environment will be an advantage (wish)<\/p>\n
Additional Requirements<\/p>\n
\tPhysically fit and healthy as the job is labor intensive in a high heat and hazardous environment
\n\tRequired to do Standby afterhours and weekend.
\n\tOperating of forklift and crane
\n\tConfined space and working at heights will be required
