\tRCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and customer focused Retail Trade Specialist within the baking business unit.
\n\tThe suitable candidate will be responsible to drive bread sales growth within the retail trade channel by managing existing retail accounts, growing shelf presence, executing promotions, ensuring product availability, developing and maintaining customer relationships and increasing market share. \u00a0The retail trade sales specialist is responsible for delivering volume, visibility and value growth through effective in-store execution and customer relationship management.
\n\tThis role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
\n\tThis role is a Permanent role.<\/p>\n

\nEducation and Qualification<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tDiploma in Sales or Marketing
\n\tValid driver \u2018s licence
\n\tMinimum 3 to 4 years\u2019 experience in a supervisory role in a Retail Trade environment (bread products advantageous)
\n\tProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales target in retail.
\n\tStrong understanding of retail dynamics and relationships with personnel.
\n\tVast experience working with chain stores and independent retailers. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience and Training\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAt least 3 Years retail sales supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG)
\n\tExcellent Microsoft office skills<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nAccount Management<\/p>\n
\tManage and grow a defined portfolio of accounts (Retail, HORECA, Forecourt).
\n\tDevelop and maintain strong relationships with regional and store managers
\n\tPlan and execute a structured call cycle to ensure optimal territory coverage.
\n\tEnsure all products are merchandised according to planograms and brand standards.
\n\tMonitor shelf space, product rotation (FIFO), price compliance and stock levels.
\n\tImplement and maintain promotional displays and in-store campaigns.<\/p>\n
Order Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure daily orders are reviewed, manage order frequency and follow-up on deliveries.
\n\tWork closely with distribution for accurate and timely deliveries.
\n\tManage stock wastage from store, non-deliveries and claims
\n\tTrack and report daily\/weekly\/monthly sales targets and KPI \u2018s.
\n\tProvide feedback on sales performance, customer issues and competitor movements.<\/p>\n
Customer Relationship<\/p>\n
\tBuild strong relationships with store owners, store managers and regional managers
\n\tEducate customers on products, pricing and promotions.
\n\tHandle service issues professionally and promptly.
\n\tDesign plans with customers to increase sales\u00a0<\/p>\n
Market Intelligence<\/p>\n
\tMonitor competitor activity: pricing, promotions, packaging and shelf placement.
\n\tReport trends and provide feedback to the Regional Sales Manager and General Manager.
\n\tIdentify opportunities for growth within stores or new store openings.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Administration<\/p>\n
\tMaintain accurate sales records, call reports and performance metrics.
\n\tSubmit daily\/weekly reports on store visits, sales performance and market feedback.
\n\tTrack stock levels, orders and stock level through sales data.
\n\tDesign plans with customers to increase sales\u00a0<\/p>\n
