Your expertise and passion for maximizing profitability will be invaluable in steering our revenue strategies to new heights.<br \/>\n\tSupports the smooth running of the revenue management department, where all aspects of the hotel\u2019s reservations and meeting &amp; events enquiries are managed and handled.<br \/>\n\tWorks proactively to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.<br \/>\n\tDevelops and implements strategies where key revenue management metrics are identified, communicated and delivered.<br \/>\n\tEffectively manages the life cycle of the team within the department, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance.<br \/>\n\tResponsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.<br \/>\n\tBuilds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders Reviews and scrutinizes the business performance, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance.<br \/>\n\tEnsures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required<\/p>\n<p>INVENTORY MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tMaintain accurate levels of inventory, based on forecasted demand<br \/>\n\tUses effective restriction methods in periods of high demand<br \/>\n\tSetting Yield controls in the PMS \/ CRS systems based on the forecasted demand in order to ensure maximum revenue potential and RPP performance in conjunction with the hotels\u2019 overall performance objectives<br \/>\n\tUses effective space-release policies to maximise rooms revenue<br \/>\n\tReviews hotel data and online systems<br \/>\n\tEnsures all rates are loaded in all systems<br \/>\n\tEnsures parallel pricing and inventory is maintained between the hotel and other distribution channels<br \/>\n\tEnsures group inventory cut-off dates are managed in line with contract and demand<br \/>\n\tImplements black-out dates and reviews frequently to see if adjustments are needed<\/p>\n<p>PRICING AND POSITIONING<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsures a correct rate positioning in each segment and for each season<br \/>\n\tTracks and monitors price sensitivity<br \/>\n\tEnsures a continuous analysis of the competitor\u2019s rates in each segment and presents at least quarterly during the revenue meeting<br \/>\n\tUses all tools available to ensure correct pricing information<br \/>\n\tEnsures RFP requests are handled in a timely manner<br \/>\n\tEnsures maximum RevPar penetration<br \/>\n\tDevelops and reviews an annual transient and group pricing policy<br \/>\n\tDevelop and Review a demand &amp; city events calendar and on quarterly basis in cooperation with Director of Sales &amp; \u00a0Marketing-Review and discuss during Revenue Meeting<\/p>\n<p>MARKET INTELLIGENCE<\/p>\n<p>\tKeeps an up-to-date knowledge of all main competitors<br \/>\n\tMonitors of competitor pricing \/ strategies and gathering and analysing of market intelligence through the use of systems available<br \/>\n\tReviews key demand periods to maximise RevPar and profits through effective consideration of cost of sales<br \/>\n\tKey contact for all E-Commerce partners and Web Registry is current and all contracts are in line with current RHG policies<br \/>\n\tHas an up-to-date knowledge of the marketplace\/demand generators<br \/>\n\tCompanies leaving and entering the market<br \/>\n\tSpecial projects<br \/>\n\tCity events<br \/>\n\tNational events<\/p>\n<p>REVENUE ANALYSIS AND TRACKING<\/p>\n<p>\tConducts weekly Revenue Management meetings<br \/>\n\tEnsures accurate reporting for accurate analysis on market segmentation, production tracking and monitoring, displacement analysis, demand analysis per segment and RevPar Penetration<br \/>\n\tReviews end of month room statistics reports and provides critical analysis on performance versus forecasts and results of implemented strategies<br \/>\n\tProvides comments on the hotels\u2019 financial and market performance on a timely basis to the General Manager and other members of the hotel\u2019s revenue team<br \/>\n\tPrepares all weekly, monthly, 3 monthly forecasts and budgets<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective and accurate usage of Revenue Management tools<br \/>\n\tMaintains historical data on evens and performance on any promotions during these demand generating events<\/p>\n<p>REVENUE IMPROVEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tUtilizes up-selling techniques at all times to maximise revenue<br \/>\n\tFocus on call conversions<br \/>\n\tEffective incentive scheme for agents in place<\/p>\n<p>RESERVATIONS and MEETING AND EVENTS DEPARTMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tManages and leads the reservations and Meeting and Events department<br \/>\n\tEnsures that all telephone standards are adhered to<br \/>\n\tEnsures that all enquiries and requests are handled in a timely manner and fashion<br \/>\n\tEnsures all daily tasks are completed by the team and gives support if required<br \/>\n\tIdentifies and addresses training needs to the department<br \/>\n\tSupervises that all contracts and other paperwork are signed for group bookings<br \/>\n\tChecks that billing instructions are correct and adhered to as per internal SOP<br \/>\n\tEnsures that relevant credit checks have been completed for new and existing companies and discussed with Financial Controller<br \/>\n\tOffers rates to the Meeting &amp; Events Sales Executive for 24h and other packages<br \/>\n\tAssists the Meeting &amp; Events department where required<br \/>\n\tEnsures revenue is maximised and optimised at every opportunity by the reservations team<\/p>\n<p>LAWS, REGULATIONS AND POLICIES<\/p>\n<p>\tFollows all applicable laws, and corporate standards and guidelines especially with regards to Health &amp; Safety and security of employees and guests<br \/>\n\tEnsures hotel compliance with Rezidor \/ Brand Pricing and E-Commerce policies<\/p>\n<p>HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>\tScreens, interviews and selects potential team members and supervisors for the department<br \/>\n\tTo train and coach members of the department in the Call standards and all new procedures and share new information and ensures proper documentation<br \/>\n\tDevelops and recommends appropriate training to meet guest needs<br \/>\n\tManages, leads and motivates the reservations team<br \/>\n\tIdentifies and addresses training needs<br \/>\n\tStrives to reduce sick-leave and turnover within the departments<br \/>\n\tStrives to reduce work related accidents within the departments<br \/>\n\tEnsure that staff is delivering Yes I Can Service and arrange refresher training where necessary<br \/>\n\tIdentifies employees with potential for promotion and \/ or transfer and makes appropriate development plans for him or her together with the HR Manager<br \/>\n\tEnsure all staff attend inter-departmental meetings as required, and to encourage staff to voice ideas and opinions that may be helpful to the hotel or department<\/p>\n<p>RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS<\/p>\n<p>\tShows involvement and is interested in environmental and or social &amp;
