Overall Purpose of the Job:<\/p>\n
\tThe incumbent will be responsible to provide a professional cleaning service within the selected geographic area. He\/she will ensure client satisfaction, business retention and business profitability whilst upholding the company policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum five (5) years management experience in industrial & commercial industry or similar service industry is essential
\n\tMatric and tertiary qualification preferred
\n\tExposure to selling of a service will be advantageous
\n\tExposure to Industrial Relations on a shop floor level will be advantageous
\n\tPreferably from a sales\/operations background
\n\tComputer literate (MS Office, must have good excel skills)
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tAbility to work flexible hours as required<\/p>\n
Job Specification<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that attendance registers are marked daily at the beginning of the shift, ensuring labour allocation is correct and any changes on the attendance sheet initiated
\n\tEnsure adequate control over all equipment in accordance with fixed asset policies and procedures
\n\tEnsure that store orders are authorized by the Regional Manager and submitted timeously to the Stores Department
\n\tResponsible for maintaining discipline by using the Company\u2019s disciplinary code and procedures, as well as attending to grievances
\n\tPromptly attend to daily messages and complaints
\n\tEnsure that staff is informed of changes that affect them with regard to Company policies
\n\tPrepare contingency plans for strikes and stay-aways
\n\tAppraise employees by way of verbal direction and performance appraisals for supervisory level and above
\n\tAdhere to Company policy and procedure (retrenchment, promotion, etc.)
\n\tCarry out regular inspections at all sites
\n\tAttend certain regular meetings with clients. Where these meetings need to be recorded, this to be done and copies of the minutes distributed. All problems to receive prompt action. Call rosters to be submitted to management.
\n\tResponsible for all engagements, pay rate changes, dismissals, authorized by the Regional Manager, and ensuring that the necessary documents are completed.
\n\tPromote the Company\u2019s full range of non-recurring business (specials).
\n\tAttend monthly Area Manager\u2019s meetings with the Regional Managers to discuss Monthly wage queries, leave, costing, etc. as and when required.
\n\tResponsible for holding monthly meetings with Supervisory staff, including submission of the agenda and meeting minutes
\n\tResponsible for compliance with all the regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act or any other regulation or Act that might refer to the matter of safety
\n\tInvestigate debtor\u2019s queries with clients and collect cheques from clients when instructed to do so by Regional Managers or the Debtor\u2019s Department<\/p>\n
