Ciro is looking for a passionate coffee professional to help us share the art of great coffee.
\n\tThe successful candidate will be based in Bryanston and report to the Coffee Capability Manager.<\/p>\n
Key Outputs:<\/p>\n
Conduct Barista training across all modules for both Internal and External customers.<\/p>\n
\tUse your knowledge and skill in coffee to effectively train customers and internal staff.
\n\tHave in-depth knowledge of all courses offered by Ciro and deliver them effectively.
\n\tEnsure the internal training plan, as directed by Head Office (HO), is implemented.
\n\tRecommend updates and improvements to training material.
\n\tConduct training both onsite and in the classroom.
\n\tManage training budgets in line with guidelines set out by HO.<\/p>\n
Event planning and execution<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with the sales team weekly on event requirements.
\n\tPlan and manage all event stock.
\n\tEnsure events are invoiced and managed effectively.<\/p>\n
Conduct Trainee assessments<\/p>\n
\tAssess all trainees timeously after training completion.
\n\tConduct fair and consistent assessments in line with Ciro training guidelines.
\n\tProvide proper follow-up and feedback on all assessments.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with Sales Consultants for Ciro’s customers<\/p>\n
\tHold weekly meetings with the sales team for feedback and customer training planning.
\n\tUnderstand customer needs and tailor training on required products effectively.
\n\tSuggest menu development ideas and innovations.
\n\tPlan and manage events and customer tastings.<\/p>\n
Manage and maintain the Training Centre and equipment<\/p>\n
\tPerform daily cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
\n\tConduct weekly counts of equipment, crockery, and stock.
\n\tOrder and manage stock requirements for training and events.
\n\tReport any breakdowns or issues in the training centre timeously.
\n\tEnsure the training centre is clean and well-maintained daily.
\n\tEffectively manage the BUP training program to ensure completion within timelines.<\/p>\n
Drive training income<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all training invoices are issued and paid promptly.
\n\tDrive income growth and meet training budget targets.<\/p>\n
Customer-specific Ciro CORE evaluation, Training Register & ESO completion<\/p>\n
\tEnsure management of the establishment signs off the following documents after each visit: Ciro CORE Evaluation and ESO Job Card (including spares consumed and quote\/invoice for the visit).
\n\tSubmit correct and comprehensive online documentation for every call, as per the standards set by Key Accounts, Training, and the Customer.
\n\tEscalate any findings to Ciro Management and keep customers informed of any irregularities.<\/p>\n
Ensure in-cup coffee quality standards<\/p>\n
\tPerform taste, grammage, and flowability testing on products and equipment.
\n\tCalibrate or program equipment to ensure consistent coffee quality.
\n\tAssess establishment staff to ensure correct preparation and cleaning procedures are followed.
\n\tEnsure compliance with quality standards defined by customer HQ and report any irregularities to management.<\/p>\n
Perform basic preventative maintenance of coffee equipment<\/p>\n
\tCarry out basic preventative maintenance as per service intervals in the customer SLA (e.g., changing filters and basic spares).
\n\tEnsure maintenance activities are completed thoroughly and signed off by establishment management.
\n\tEnsure all spares and filters are consumed appropriately, with Job Cards signed off.
\n\tAssess on-site equipment and log repair calls with the Technical Department if major repairs are required.
\n\tReport any malicious damage to the customer.
\n\tKeep the business informed of potential leads.
\n\tManage assigned spares and tools responsibly.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Coffee or Training<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t3\u20135 years as a Senior Barista, leading and developing team members.
\n\tCoffee diploma or relevant SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) courses.<\/p>\n
Knowledge & Skills:<\/p>\n
\tProficient in MS Office.
\n\tStrong knowledge of coffee, coffee menus, and related products.
\n\tExperience maintaining various coffee equipment.
\n\tAbility to manage BUP effectively.
\n\tStrong presentation and facilitation skills.
\n\tUnderstanding of coffee origins, espresso preparation, FABS, and alternative brewing methods.
\n\tAbility to demonstrate and create coffee-based drinks for customers.
\n\tMaintain and manage all training equipment through effective delegation, training, and leadership.<\/p>\n
