\tTWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Accountant (Payroll) within the Finance division in Pretoria, Gauteng.<\/p>\n
Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThis role involves managing and executing end-to-end payroll processes while ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax regulations.
\n\tThe Accountant will maintain accurate payroll-related financial records, prepare budgets and reports, and support both internal and external audits.
\n\tWorking closely with HR and Finance, this role plays a critical part in delivering efficient, timely, and compliant payroll operations across the organisation.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n
\tManage and execute payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees
\n\tMaintain and update payroll-related financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
\n\tEnsure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements related to payroll, including PAYE, UIF, and other deductions
\n\tPrepare and assist in the preparation of payroll-related financial statements and reports for management review
\n\tPrepare the budgets and forecasts related to payroll for the business
\n\tPerform regular reconciliations of payroll accounts to verify the accuracy of financial records and resolve discrepancies, including payroll related general ledger accounts
\n\tAssist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving any issues related to payroll
\n\tIdentify opportunities for process improvements in payroll operations, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency
\n\tAddress finance inquiries related to payroll, providing clear and accurate information<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\n\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in payroll accounting or a similar role\u00a0
\n\tExperience in the Agricultural sector (Advantageous)
\n\tProficiency in payroll software (SAGE 300 preferred) and Excel
\n\tStrong analytical and numerical skills
\n\tKnowledge of IFRS, payroll tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
\n\tProfessional certification in accounting or payroll
\n\tBilingual in English and Afrikaans
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel
\n\tHigh attention to detail and accuracy
\n\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tAbility to work independently and collaboratively
\n\tCommitment to meeting deadlines and compliance standards<\/p>\n
