Purpose of Role: <\/p>\n
\tTo make moulds and cores. Strip and paint moulds and cores. Insert any applicable cores and close moulds in preparation for casting<\/p>\n

Operation: <\/p>\n
\tMoulding, stripping, painting and closing of copes and drags
\n\tPrepare moulds, cores, core boxes and repair surface imperfections
\n\tInsert applicable cores in the mould
\n\tEnsure moulds are clean before closing
\n\tClose moulds according to specifications
\n\tCalibration of sand and chemicals
\n\tMove assembled moulds to designated areas
\n\tEnsure that consumable stock items are maintained and report low stock levels to the Shift Leader
\n\tStack items in allocated areas and in a safe manner<\/p>\n
Process<\/p>\n
\tAchieve set production targets
\n\tPerform TPM checklists
\n\tAlways adhere to Company policies and procedures, standard operating procedures and work instructions (SOPs and WI)
\n\tOperate machines \/ equipment in accordance with safe work instructions
\n\tAlways work according to efficiency standards
\n\tIdentify any potential hazards and risks and report to the Shift Leaders
\n\tTo adhere to required protective clothing rules and ensure appropriate PPE is worn at all times
\n\tAttend compulsory safe start \/ green are meetings at the beginning of every shift<\/p>\n
Adherence<\/p>\n
\tAdherence to quality control as per work instructions\u00a0
\n\tAdherence to all statutory EHS, housekeeping and 5S requirements
\n\tAdhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.<\/p>\n
Job Knowledge\/Education and Qualifications: <\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12); or 6 to 12 months related experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience<\/p>\n
