The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation and processing of monthly payroll for approximately 1,500 employees using the Sage People payroll system. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.<\/p>\n<p>Job description<\/p>\n<p>\tEnd-to-end payroll processing for ~1,500 employees on Sage People (including onboarding, leave, and terminations).<br \/>\n\tReview and validate overtime claims, reimbursements, and deductions.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data flow and maintenance.<br \/>\n\tAdminister the ESS system and support employees with queries.<br \/>\n\tManage provident fund claims and medical aid applications.<br \/>\n\tAssist with Workman\u2019s Compensation claims and queries.<br \/>\n\tPrepare and submit labour department documentation (maternity, unpaid leave, terminations).<br \/>\n\tHandle payroll-related queries via the payroll department inbox.<br \/>\n\tGenerate statutory and third-party payment reports (e.g., PAYE returns).<br \/>\n\tMaintain a robust document control system.<br \/>\n\tStay updated on company policies and tax legislation affecting remuneration.<br \/>\n\tPrepare month-end journals and finance reports (overtime, leave balances, headcount, etc.).<br \/>\n\tProduce and distribute standard reports on Sage 300 People.<br \/>\n\tProvide analytical remuneration data and insights to management.<br \/>\n\tPresent payroll-related content during monthly employee inductions.<br \/>\n\tParticipate in ad hoc projects and presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tMatric \/ Grade 12.<br \/>\n\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in full payroll processing.<br \/>\n\tPayroll or Accounting qualification (advantageous).<br \/>\n\tStrong numerical and analytical skills.<br \/>\n\tE-Filing experience (advantageous).<br \/>\n\tAdvanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).<br \/>\n\tProficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint.<br \/>\n\tClear credit record.<\/p>\n<p>Technical &amp; Job-Specific Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tPayroll Software Proficiency: Sage 300 People, ESS, VIP.<br \/>\n\tPayroll Legislation Knowledge: Tax laws, UIF, PAYE, SDL, and statutory compliance.<br \/>\n\tExcel &amp; Data Management: Strong spreadsheet and data validation skills.<br \/>\n\tNumerical Accuracy: High attention to detail in salary, deduction, and benefit calculations.<br \/>\n\tTime Management: Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple pay cycles.<\/p>\n<p>Soft Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tConfidentiality &amp; Integrity: Handle sensitive employee data with discretion.<br \/>\n\tCommunication: Strong written and verbal communication with HR, finance, and employees.<br \/>\n\tProblem-Solving: Resolve discrepancies and payroll errors efficiently.<br \/>\n\tOrganizational Skills: Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.<br \/>\n\tAdaptability: Stay current with legislation changes and system upgrades.<br \/>\n\tTeamwork &amp; Initiative: Work independently and collaboratively, sharing innovative ideas.<\/p>\n<p>Bonus Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tBasic accounting knowledge.<br \/>\n\tReport generation and analysis.<br \/>\n\tEmployee benefits administration experience.<br \/>\n\tKnowledge of labour law and HR processes.<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/careers.tracker.co.za ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"Tracker Connect (Pty) Ltd","_company_website":"http:\/\/careers.tracker.co.za","_company_tagline":"Tracker South Africa was established in 1996 and currently connects over 1 million vehicles, making it the region\u2019s dominant brand.
