\n\tWe\u2019re looking for a skilled and proactive Legal Advisor to join our team and provide expert legal guidance across contract management, tenders, compliance, and policy development. This role plays a key part in protecting the organization\u2019s interests and ensuring we operate with integrity and within the law.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nContract Management<\/p>\n
\tDraft, review, and prepare a range of contracts including commercial agreements, service agreements, and vendor contracts.
\n\tConduct thorough vetting to ensure all contracts meet legal and commercial standards and align with organizational goals.
\n\tNegotiate contract terms with internal and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes while minimizing risk.
\n\tCommunicate effectively with relevant teams and partners to ensure smooth contract execution.<\/p>\n
Tenders<\/p>\n
\tReview and assess tender documents to ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
\n\tAssist in preparing and compiling tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.<\/p>\n
Risk & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and assess potential legal or commercial risks in contracts, tenders, and business activities.
\n\tEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.<\/p>\n
Policy Development<\/p>\n
\tDraft, update, and implement policies to support compliance, governance, and risk management across the business.<\/p>\n
Business Partnership<\/p>\n
\tApply strong commercial understanding to align legal strategies with business objectives.
\n\tDevelop a working knowledge of the organization\u2019s operations and industry to deliver practical and informed legal advice.<\/p>\n
General Legal Support<\/p>\n
\tProvide clear, practical, and timely legal guidance to management and business units.
\n\tMaintain accurate records and documentation of contracts, tenders, and compliance activities.
\n\tCollaborate with internal teams and external legal advisors to achieve organizational goals.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor of Laws (LLB)\u00a0
\n\tAdmission as an Attorney or Advocate.
\n\tMinimum of 4 years\u2019 experience in a corporate legal advisory role, with exposure to contracts and compliance.
\n\tStrong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
\n\tExcellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
\n\tHigh attention to detail, with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial priorities.<\/p>\n
