\tExecute marketing strategies and initiatives in alignment with business objectives;
\n\tUnderstand the market, competitors, and customer insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for differentiation;
\n\tLead innovation efforts, explore new marketing technologies, and drive digital transformation initiatives within the marketing function;
\n\tEnsure marketing activities comply with industry regulations and standards, including advertising guidelines and data privacy laws;
\n\tPlan, execute, and optimise marketing campaigns across digital, social media, PR, and traditional channels;
\n\tTrack and analyse performance metrics and KPIs, providing reports and insights to stakeholders to measure campaign effectiveness and optimise strategies;
\n\tActively manage PR and media plans to maintain good relationships with local media;
\n\tAct as backup spokesperson for media queries and interviews;
\n\tDeliver strategic brand positioning and messaging architecture, to ensure it remains relevance with target audiences over time;
\n\tMaintain emergency communication plans and ensure crisis readiness;
\n\tSafeguard FlySafair’s brand integrity, ensuring consistency in identity, messaging and customer experience across all touchpoints;
\n\tManage marketing budgets effectively, allocating resources to maximise ROI;
\n\tTrack and report on budget utilisation, resource allocation, and progress against business objectives;
\n\tPrepare presentations and reports as required to translate marketing data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making;
\n\tManage external agencies (creative, media, PR), including briefing, performance evaluation, and budget negotiation;
\n\tBuild and nurture strategic partnerships and sponsorships to strengthen brand visibility and expand audience reach;
\n\tCollaborate with internal departments (Business Development, Customer Service, Operations, and IT) to align marketing with overall business goals;
\n\tProvide clear direction, support, and development to direct reports;
\n\tOversee team outputs and track performance to ensure delivery of objectives;
\n\tFoster a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative team culture;
\n\tHandle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
\n\tDegree in Marketing\/ Business\/ Communications or similar (Essential);
\n\t10 years of Marketing experience in a mid-size organisation, of which, at least 3 years must have been in a Managerial role (Essential);
\n\tFlexibility to work outside of standard hours (occasionally).<\/p>\n
