MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Banking, Financial management, Accounting (NQF6)
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a treasury middle and back-office environment<\/p>\n
Advantageous<\/p>\n
\tDegree in accounting would be an added advantage
\n\tSAP accounting and reporting system
\n\tOperational knowledge of a treasury department is essential.

\tDaily and Monthly processes
\n\tAction daily system processes
\n\tObtain daily market information
\n\tAction monthly system processes
\n\tPrepare monthly accounting journals<\/p>\n
Cash Flow Management<\/p>\n
\tDaily cash flows
\n\tPrepare and distribute daily Cash Flow Plan
\n\tCheck balances daily to ensure bank accounts are within approved limits<\/p>\n
Reconciliation Processes<\/p>\n
\tDaily Reconciliations
\n\tPrepare daily Bank account (treasury and operational) reconciliation
\n\tPrepare daily holdings (position) reconciliation
\n\tEnsure treasury system deals balance to accounting
\n\tResolve any un-reconciled items, preparing necessary journals for capturing
\n\tCapture journals
\n\tPrepare coupon \/ interest reconciliation.
\n\tGuarantees Reconciliations
\n\tPrepare guarantee reconciliation monthly
\n\tClearing of SAP general ledger accounts
\n\tUpload bank statements into SAP
\n\tClear clearing accounts (all clearing accounts as identified in SAP)<\/p>\n
Confirmation<\/p>\n
\tCapital market deals
\n\tConfirm deal slip as received from dealer with counterparty confirmation
\n\tReceive and reconcile counterparty confirmation with deal slip
\n\tEmail deal slip to counterparty
\n\tQuery and resolves any discrepancies
\n\tMoney market deals
\n\tConfirm deal slip as received from dealer with counterparty via telephone\/email
\n\tEmail deal slip to counterparty
\n\tQuery and resolves any discrepancies
\n\tCoupon confirmation
\n\tConfirm coupon due with calculation agent
\n\tConfirm payment date and amount of coupon on DIS system
\n\tPetty cash
\n\tConfirm and sign off petty cash reconciliation weekly Guarantees
\n\tConfirm outstanding guarantees with bank monthly<\/p>\n
Training<\/p>\n
\tProvide necessary on the job training for the treasury assistant<\/p>\n
Administration \/ FICA<\/p>\n
\tGather and collate FICA documentation for counterparties as needed<\/p>\n
Settlement process<\/p>\n
\tSettlements of deals
\n\tPrepare and send bond deals due for settlement report to settlement agent
\n\tMoney market investment deals to be loaded onto banking platform for payment
\n\tSettlements of operational payments
\n\tUpload payments onto banking platform
\n\tEnsure final release of payments
\n\tFollow up and action any failed\/rejected payment<\/p>\n
