\n\tNational Bioproducts Institute NPC has a vacancy for the role of Apprentice: Instrumentation. The successful incumbent will be responsible for:
\n\tSupporting GMP compliant manufacture of pharmaceutical products by ensuring maximum online time of process Utility services supplied to Manufacturing.
\n\tLearning to perform routine maintenance on the machines.
\n\tConducting daily checks on machines and their support services.
\n\tEvaluating and facilitate repairs of plant equipment and identify actions to prevent recurrences.
\n\tAssisting in projects associated with new plant and equipment.
\n\tProviding cross-functional support.
\n\tCreating spares inventory and help with spares stock take.
\n\tMaking wiring diagrams
\n\tCompleting training needs as laid by institution in order to obtain qualification.
\n\tApplications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tN6 or S4 electrical engineering (light current).<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Learn the skills required to ensure continued operation of the plant equipment<\/p>\n
\tAssist in performing routine checks of all equipment and systems for correct operation
\n\tSchedule maintenance activities as defined by the preventative maintenance plan
\n\tFacilitate the calibration of measuring and control instruments according to defined schedules and production requirements
\n\tMaintaining records and schedules for specified plant and equipment<\/p>\n
Learn and facilitate repairs of plant equipment and identify actions to prevent recurrences<\/p>\n
\tLearn to analyse problems and determining required maintenance \/repair work to ensure continuity.
\n\tLiaise with third party contractors where repairs are not possible on site
\n\tTrack and report on progress of repairs required<\/p>\n

\n\tSelect transportation routes to maximise combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
\n\tCold chain management of active raw materials<\/p>\n
Support project work\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tsupport capacity expansion projects (CAPEX)
\n\tsupport continuous process improvements
\n\tSupervision of t contractors
