\n\tThe Head of Maintenance & Facilities (KZN) is responsible for leading, planning, and managing all maintenance and facilities activities across Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse, Hollywoodbets Scottsville Racecourse, Summerveld Training Centre and Race Coast \/ Hollywoodbets KZN retail branches.
\n\tThe role entails developing and implementing detailed operational maintenance plans, supervising Maintenance Managers, Assistant Managers, and in-house teams, and managing external contractors and service providers.
\n\tThis includes ensuring all facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements, while providing input into long-term infrastructure and facilities planning aligned with company strategy.
\n\tThe position also carries accountability for preventive maintenance planning, resource management, and cost control, including budgeting, expenditure review, and reporting.<\/p>\n
You Bring:<\/p>\n
\t5+ years\u2019 experience in maintenance\/facilities management in a multi-site environment
\n\t5+ years in a senior leadership role managing teams and contractors
\n\tExperience in budgeting, cost control, and vendor management
\n\tStrong understanding of compliance frameworks, digital ecosystems, and customer-centric delivery models
\n\tRelevant technical qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or related field)
\n\tA Diploma \/ Degree in Facilities Management\/ Project Management\/ Business\/ Related
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Do For The Brand:<\/p>\n
Operational Planning & Execution<\/p>\n
\tCreate and implement maintenance and facilities plans in line with the company\u2019s strategic objectives.
\n\tProvide input into long-term infrastructure and facilities planning.
\n\tDevelop detailed operational maintenance schedules and preventive programmes to ensure efficiency and sustainability.<\/p>\n
Leadership & Team Management<\/p>\n
\tSupervise and coordinate Maintenance Managers, Assistant Managers, and in-house teams.
\n\tProvide training, mentoring, and skills development to staff.
\n\tMonitor team performance, providing feedback and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions where required.<\/p>\n
Maintenance Operations<\/p>\n
\tOversee routine maintenance, repair, and installation of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
\n\tCoordinate and prioritise work orders to ensure timely completion and minimal operational disruption.
\n\tTroubleshoot major issues and engage external contractors where specialist expertise is required.
\n\tConduct monthly inspections and maintain a preventative maintenance checklist.<\/p>\n
Equipment & Inventory Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all tools and maintenance equipment are properly maintained and available for use.
\n\tManage inventory of spare parts, materials, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective procurement and stock control.
\n\tTrack and document the usage of maintenance supplies and stock to ensure accurate control and cost-effective resource management.<\/p>\n
Health & Safety Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all facilities and maintenance activities comply with company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
\n\tConduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
\n\tLead safety training and awareness sessions for staff.
\n\tCollaborate with the company\u2019s Health & Safety Officer to ensure compliance across all sites.<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and manage budgets for maintenance operations and projects.
\n\tMonitor expenditure, review costs, and provide monthly financial reports.
\n\tManage service level agreements, ensuring annual reviews and adherence to performance standards.<\/p>\n
Vendor & Contractor Management<\/p>\n
\tManage relationships with external contractors and service providers.
\n\tScreen and approve new sub-contractors for inclusion in the company database.
\n\tOversee contractor performance, ensuring work meets agreed standards, budgets, and timelines.<\/p>\n
Reporting & Administration<\/p>\n
\tCompile weekly snag lists and reports for Executive Management.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
\n\tSubmit regular updates on facilities performance, equipment status, and team outputs.<\/p>\n
