\tDanfoss is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives Division, based in Woodmead, Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will report to the Country Sales Manager and will be responsible for Sales and Business Development of Danfoss VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) and Soft Starters across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, in alignment with the Danfoss Business Unit strategy.<\/p>\n
What You\u2019ll Be Doing<\/p>\n
\tGenerate VSD business (market share, volume, and profit) from existing and new customers in the Mining, Minerals & Metals and Cement verticals.
\n\tEstablish and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs as well as enhancing customer understanding of full product and service offering.
\n\tBuild and manage strong opportunity and project pipelines.
\n\tDevelop channel partners, system integrators, EPC and OEM sales.
\n\tIdentify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure cross-collaboration.
\n\tPrepare sales plans and regular status of potential order shortfalls.
\n\tBudget forecasts and monthly reporting.
\n\tManage administrative procedures in all sales processes including preparation of offers in coordination with the Customer Service team by ensuring the appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.<\/p>\n
What We’re Looking For<\/p>\n
\tElectrical engineering degree or similar technical qualification,
\n\tA minimum of 3-5 degrees in a similar position dealing with the specific technical aspects of the job, Proven ability to conduct product and solution presentations,
\n\tHaving established networks within the respective industries and have a proven track record with sales in the related verticals,
\n\tGood knowledge of variable frequency drives and soft starters is an added advantage,
\n\tWilling to travel extensively as\/when required.<\/p>\n
