RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Maintenance and general daily tasks and repairs:<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining and managing medical\/dental equipment and minor medical\/dental assets, including theatre vacuum systems, to prevent downtime and optimize patient care;
\n\tMaintaining electrical, water and clean air pressure to dental equipment;
\n\tMaintaining and updating the asset register regularly, conducting asset verification annually and implementing technical and maintenance processes according to quality standards, and assist in the procurement process of new clinical equipment\/ parts thereof by providing guidance and support.<\/p>\n
Coordination and supervision:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupervising all contractors on safety regulations and service rendering whilst working on-site;
\n\tDoing inspections on work order after completion and ensuring that the work is done satisfactorily;
\n\tReceiving all work order requests from the end user; register, log calls for the work order at one stop.<\/p>\n
Training:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProviding ongoing in-service training to personnel and students on handling of equipment to avoid frequent equipment breakages including general self-help tasks;
\n\tAssisting with training on occupational safety linked to equipment\/machinery.<\/p>\n
Administration:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tPreparing\/ Collating and monitoring the maintenance plans for all equipment in the facility and the training platform;
\n\tObtaining quotes for spares needed for repairs and maintenance from companies in line with the approved maintenance plans and procurement plans;
\n\tSending purchase orders for spares to suppliers.<\/p>\n
After hours assistance:<\/p>\n
\t24 Hour service rendering in case of emergency repairs.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Electrical or Relevant bachelor’s in electrical \/BTech degree in a relevant field;
\n\tThree years trade test in the relevant engineering discipline.
\n\tWireman\u2019s license (Electrician only)<\/p>\n
\u00a0Three years\u2019 experience in:<\/p>\n
\tRepairing\/maintaining dental equipment in a hospital or a dental practice environment including dental chairs;<\/p>\n
ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:<\/p>\n
\tHonours degree in the relevant field;
\n\tThree years\u2019 experience in Electrical and maintenance in hospital environment.<\/p>\n
