Liaise with technicians, branch admin and procurement to ensure all measures are taken to minimize downtime<br \/>\n\tManage technical teams to ensure all maintenance is being completed safely, timeously and to the prescribed\/legislated standard<br \/>\n\tMonitor completion of the bi\u00adannual and annual inspections completed by technicians. Ensure this is being done and recorded correctly<\/p>\n<p>Service department assist process<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist in solving more complex technical problems<br \/>\n\tAssist and travel to sites where technicians may be struggling with a call-out or repair<br \/>\n\tAssist with repairs if the technician is unable to complete the repair himself<\/p>\n<p>Service sales and assessment process<\/p>\n<p>\tConduct project handover between construction and service departments<br \/>\n\tAssist Service Manager and Administrators with the preparation of quotations for repair work.<br \/>\n\tConduct paid assessments and draft report of findings<\/p>\n<p>Quality control and auditing process<\/p>\n<p>\tComplete regular site visits to units on the service portfolio to monitor the quality of workmanship conducted by technicians<br \/>\n\tMonitor technician performance and recommend performance\/disciplinary intervention to HR when required<br \/>\n\tKeep up to date with regulations\/policies\/procedures applicable to the maintenance and repair of the company&#8217;s products. Make recommendations for upgrades in order to comply<\/p>\n<p>Recommend training initiatives to improve service performance and customer satisfaction<\/p>\n<p>\tIdentify shortcomings and recommend improvements to the equipment\/systems\/policies that would result in better quality units and better service levels<\/p>\n<p>Customer and sub\u00adcontractor relationship management<\/p>\n<p>\tAccountable for customer satisfaction and quality of service<br \/>\n\tAttend to difficult customer technical queries, technical reports or interventions when required<br \/>\n\tAccountable for sub\u00adcontractor quality and service performance<br \/>\n\tDevelops and maintains a cordial and professional relationship with the customers and sub\u00adcontractors.<br \/>\n\tThoroughly investigate and resolve all critical customer problems<\/p>\n<p>People management\/leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tAccountable for people (service technician) development and well-being, and managing the performance of the team and individuals<br \/>\n\tDetermines objectives, and plans as well as organizes, communicates, controls, and motivates the service team<br \/>\n\tIdentifies field operative training needs and manages training plans<br \/>\n\tEnsure that all service technicians comply with safe work practices in accordance with OH&amp;S standards<\/p>\n<p>KPI<\/p>\n<p>Performance measures:<\/p>\n<p>\tNumber of callouts reported monthly (pattern, increase or decrease in number)<br \/>\n\tEnsure a callout rate of 10% or less in your region<br \/>\n\tNoticeable improvement in service technician knowledge base and understanding (passed on from yourself). Measured by survey and reporting<br \/>\n\tNumber of unresolved technician and customer complaints<br \/>\n\tEnsure not more than 1% of the units in your region are on shutdown.
