The Senior Planner is responsible for the delivery of project planning and progress measurement, ensuring that Hatch procedures and best practices are applied, as appropriate, and recommending changes to the Project Controls Manager where required.
\n\tThe Project Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the project master schedule to meet the project objectives.<\/p>\n

Safety<\/p>\n
\tHave a\u00a0strong personal commitment to safety

FEL3 data verification and Project set-up<\/p>\n
\tMeet Functional Managers to finalize FEL4 project set-up schedule (using standard template)
\n\tConduct interactive planning meeting with Functional Managers to finalize project implementation schedule
\n\tConfirm level 1and 2 project schedule and critical path and set baseline for project implementation phase
\n\tConfirm and refine FEL4 level 3 scheduling (incl. early works and understand schedule basis).<\/p>\n
Project master schedule development<\/p>\n
\tConfirm and refine FEL4 level 3 scheduling
\n\tIdentify and schedule critical vendor data requirements
\n\tPopulate approved measurable commodity quantities and labor to produce baseline S-curves
\n\tParticipate in project schedule risk analysis and include resultant contingency in baseline
\n\tMaintain FEL4 schedule basis
\n\tUsing progress reports (early and late curves) and project schedule (level 3 baseline); maintain, optimize and monitor progress. Identify and resolve issues
\n\tDevelop FEL4 level 3 commissioning schedule
\n\tAnalyze contractor level 4 schedule and provide recommendations.<\/p>\n
Project schedule monitoring and updates<\/p>\n
\tGenerate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reports
\n\tMaintain and optimize schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues
\n\tGenerate all progress curves
\n\tDevelop and maintain commodity and resource profile
\n\tExtract and publish four-week look ahead schedule
\n\tMonitor slippages and critical and near critical paths and discuss with Project Controls Manager for resolution w Establish all equipment\/ material and contractor ROS (Required on Site) dates
\n\tProvide schedule input to the procurement bid process including reporting requirements and vendor and contractor milestone dates
\n\tAssist with bid evaluation and ongoing management of the vendors and contractors with respect to their schedule commitments.<\/p>\n
Project trend and change management<\/p>\n
\tOnce a change is approved, maintain and optimize the schedule, monitor progress and highlight\/ resolve areas of potential concern.<\/p>\n
Project progress measurement and earned value<\/p>\n
\tGenerate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reports
\n\tObtain progress info via progress reports, EPCM status report, vendor progress report and cost report and calculate progress for construction packages<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Essential<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification in engineering or other relevant discipline or appropriate substituted experience
\n\t8-15 years experience as a planner in a multi-discipline project environment
\n\tSound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment
\n\tKnowledge of the estimating and tendering processes
\n\tKnowledge in the use of Primavera Project Planner P6
\n\tTechnical overview of work methods and techniques
\n\tRisk management principles
\n\tGood knowledge of project management principles
\n\tKnowledge of forms of contract will be a definite advantage.<\/p>\n

\tInterpersonal and good communication skills in the areas of both written and verbal communication
\n\tComputer literacy (MS Office package)
