\tBDO Johannesburg has a vacancy for a Corporate Tax Consulting Manager within the Corporate Tax Consulting team in the Tax Department. The incumbent will be reporting to the Head of Corporate Tax Consulting.
\n\tThe This role will involve taking responsibility for the planning and execution, delivery of engagements, leading projects and tax team, and building as well as maintaining client relationships.
\n\tIn addition, the Manager will be expected to get involved with the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Tax Consulting unit, which include (but are not limited to) functions such as:
\n\tAssisting BDO to achieve its financial targets driving the BDO brand, business development, technical tax competence and client service in line with BDO values.
\n\tInterpreting and applying theoretical knowledge to a practical business solution by utilising a sound knowledge of income tax and corporate law.
\n\tDrafting technically correct opinions and reports for review and reviewing tax opinions and advise to be provided to clients and the audit department.
\n\tPreparing and\/or reviewing income tax and deferred tax computations.
\n\tReviewing tax computations for the audit department.
\n\tGathering information from different sources by using effective research tools.
\n\tAssisting with the research and preparation of proposals.
\n\tIdentifying income tax issues arising at clients and use various tools and techniques to provide suggestions on how to solve them.
\n\tAdapting to a changing work environment and accommodate changing client demands.
\n\tLiaising with audit partners and audit staff with regards to tax issues.
\n\tLiaising with SARS.
\n\tVisiting clients to remediate tax issues and assist clients with SARS audit and queries.
\n\tManaging and maintaining client relationships.
\n\tPreparing and managing budgets, debtors and monthly invoices.
\n\tProducing accurate work and client deliverables to a high technical standard while coaching and mentoring junior staff.
\n\tManaging subordinates in the corporate tax consulting team.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nQualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBCom Accounting
\n\tBCom Honours in Accounting or Taxation
\n\tM.Com, or Hdip
\n\tCA(SA) advantageous\u00a0<\/p>\n
Professional designation:<\/p>\n
\tSAICA and\/or SAIT\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\t7-10 years\u2019 Corporate Tax experience
\n\t3 years managerial experience
\n\tCA(SA) articles\u00a0<\/p>\n
