About the Role:<\/p>\n
\tOur client, a prominent public sector entity within the Arts, Culture and Creative Industries, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Specialist: Strategy Planning, Strategic Support, and Monitoring & Evaluation to join their team on a 6-month contract.
\n\tThis role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in organisational performance management, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight, enhance governance processes, and support the delivery of the organisation\u2019s strategic goals and performance outcomes.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tProvide strategic direction in the design, implementation, and monitoring of organisational performance indicators through effective Monitoring and Evaluation(M&E) systems.
\n\tConduct research into best practices within the Arts and Culture environment and assess the suitability of policies and procedures for implementation.
\n\tOversee performance reporting, M&E processes, and the drafting of the Annual Report.
\n\tCoordinate and support the development and finalisation of the Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan (APP).
\n\tProvide strategic and administrative support to the Office of the CEO regarding performance management and compliance.
\n\tManage and coordinate strategic planning processes aligned with organisational priorities and targets.
\n\tEvaluate and report on programme performance against established indicators and outcomes.
\n\tLead stakeholder management, ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards.
\n\tPromote good governance, accountability, and risk management practices.
\n\tConsolidate, analyse, and submit accurate reports to oversight and regulatory bodies.
\n\tImplement consistent norms and standards for management reporting to strengthen accountability and transparency.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tB-Degree in Business Administration (NQF Level 7) or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7 or a related discipline.
\n\tProven experience in a similar strategic planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, or performance management role within the Arts, Culture, or Creative Industries.
\n\tStrong understanding of public sector governance frameworks and performance reporting standards.
\n\tExceptional analytical, research, and report-writing abilities.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
\n\tDemonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and support at executive level.<\/p>\n
