About the Role:<\/p>\n
\tWe are currently seeking a skilled and licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our aviation team. This position is critical to maintaining the high standards of safety, performance, and reliability expected for our aircraft fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for the required maintenance inspections, repairs and the continued airworthiness of the African Park fleet of aircraft.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the continued airworthiness of the African Parks fleet of aircraft.
\n\tPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on piston-engine aircraft within the legal and manufacturers\u2019 prescripts and requirements.
\n\tContinued care and pro-active maintenance of African Parks aircraft.
\n\tMaintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed as per the African Parks Manual and Procedure and the legal requirements
\n\tEnsure compliance with safety standards and aviation regulations.
\n\tCollaborate with the maintenance and operations team to ensure continued aircraft availability and operational readiness.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tValid SACAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License.
\n\tRatings on Cessna 100 and 200 series aircraft (C180, C182, C206 series).
\n\tLicenses on Lycoming and Continental engines (470, 520, 540 series)
\n\tMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience on Cessna 100 and 200 series aircraft.
\n\tStrong understanding of general aviation maintenance procedures and documentation.
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\n\tHigh attention to detail and commitment to safety.
\n\tValid Passport and required travel documents and vaccinations
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tFully bilingual (Afrikaans and English), French proficiency will be an advantage.
\n\tWilling and able to travel extensively<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications \/ Attributes:<\/p>\n
\tFAA A&P Certificate.
\n\tExperience in field maintenance and troubleshooting.
\n\tSACAA AP (Approved Person) on light-sport aircraft
\n\tRotax (912, 914, 915) experience and qualifications.
\n\tFamiliarity with general aviation shop practices.
\n\tStrong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
\n\tGood communication and organizational skills.
\n\tAble to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.<\/p>\n
