\n\tThe successful candidate will manage a procurement portfolio and provide direct support to the Procurement \/ Category Manager and related Business stakeholders of the Absa Business unit applying their procurement & sourcing skills, analytical capability and supply chain knowledge.

Job Description<\/p>\n
ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tSupport the Procurement \/ Category Manager and Head of Procurement by preparing information and analysis for negotiation processes and with the preparation of related information.
\n\tCollect and analyse quantitative and qualitative information to assess suppliers\u2019 capabilities and performance.
\n\tManage the RFP \/\u00a0 RFQ \/\u00a0 RFI (\u201cRFx\u201d) processes and analyse, develop and execute results.
\n\tEnsure contracts comply with contract standards, legislation and AGL policies.
\n\tCollect, investigate, and analyse information as requested by Procurement \/ Category Manager and Head of Procurement using data from internal and external sources.
\n\tProvide input into the category and commodity strategy development processes and support category and commodity plan execution.
\n\tDraft and maintain strategic contracts.
\n\tUnderstanding of Services, Service Level Agreements (\u201cSLA\u2019s\u201d) and contracting based on deliverables\u2019.
\n\tSupplier screening and due diligence using the Bank\u2019s preferred tools \/ systems.
\n\tEvaluate suppliers and manage their performance in collaboration with Supplier Management or business driven Service Management.
\n\tMaintain constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
\n\tParticipate constructively and drive personal development within procurement \/ category team.
\n\tRun ad hoc reports and queries based on team requirements.
\n\tDevelop, compile and analyse statistical data for procurement \/ category management reports.
\n\tAssist in the Development of Total Cost of Ownership (\u201cTCO\u201d) and other cost improvement models.
\n\tCollaborate and support supplier diversity in driving enterprise development and preferential procurement objectives.
\n\tCollaboration and interaction with other procurement teams for the purpose of continuous strategy improvement.
\n\tConduct market \u00a0research.
\n\tPerform benchmarking on price, cost, and supply chain effectiveness.
\n\tExecute procurement cost savings plans and track against targets.
\n\tLoad and maintain procurement documents on the procurement system.<\/p>\n
Education and Required Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s qualification, preferably in Business, Commercial, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Business Economics, Economics, Finance, or Accounting fields.
\n\tPost Graduate qualification will be an advantage.
\n\tCIPS \/ MCIPS qualification will be an advantage.
\n\t3 to 5 years of experience in procurement and sourcing.
\n\tManaging cross functional team collaboration.
\n\tBusiness and financial acumen, cost management tools, spend analysis, cost savings reporting, etc .
\n\tMulti Category experience will be an advantage.
\n\tBanking procurement experience will be an advantage.
\n\tSupply chain tools knowledge \u2013 Procure to pay systems, purchase orders, payment, supplier assessments.
\n\tUnderstanding of commercial matters and business environment.
\n\tStrong knowledge of contractual agreements and some exposure to relationship management.
\n\tKnowledge of end-to-end RFx\u00a0 and\u00a0 sourcing processes.
\n\tHands on experience in working with an Enterprise Resource Program (\u201cERP\u201d) System (Coupa experience will be an advantage).
\n\tStrong negotiation and presentation skills.
\n\tExpert level efficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS-Word.
\n\tStrong computer literacy (Power Point) and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
\n\tHigh level analytical and communication skills required (written & verbal).
\n\tA team member that can also operate independently with an ability for problem solving.<\/p>\n
