Summary of Job \u2013 Receiving Supervisor<\/p>\n
\tOversee all incoming goods and ensure accurate receiving processes are followed.
\n\tVerify delivery documentation, quantities, and product quality against purchase orders.
\n\tSupervise offloading, sorting, and placement of stock in designated areas.
\n\tEnsure received goods are properly labeled and recorded in the inventory system.
\n\tCoordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies or damages.
\n\tPlan and allocate tasks to receiving staff to maintain efficient workflow.
\n\tEnsure FIFO principles are applied during receiving and storage.
\n\tMaintain accurate receiving logs and assist with stock counts and reconciliations.
\n\tEnforce safety and housekeeping standards in the receiving area.
\n\tCommunicate effectively with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure smooth receiving operations.
\n\tMonitor equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) to ensure safe and optimal use.
\n\tIdentify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy in receiving operations.
\n\tSupport warehouse management in meeting productivity, accuracy, and compliance goals.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a Supervisory role
\n\tAt least 3 years\u2019 Customer Service experience
\n\tStrong analytical and forecasting abilities
\n\tProven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
\n\tProficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
\n\tStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n

Technical Experience<\/p>\n
\tOperation and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors
\n\tKnowledge of barcode scanners, RF systems, and computerized receiving software
\n\tUnderstanding of warehouse layout design, racking systems, and storage optimization
\n\tExperience with inventory control systems and stock reconciliation processes
\n\tAbility to identify, report, and assist in resolving mechanical or equipment faults
\n\tUnderstanding of safety standards, risk assessments, and warehouse compliance
\n\tHands-on experience managing and coordinating offloading and receiving operations
\n\tKnowledge of basic electrical and mechanical systems relevant to warehouse operations
\n\tUse of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking equipment performance
\n\tStrong documentation and reporting skills related to receiving, inspections, and inventory accuracy
\n\tAbility to implement preventative maintenance schedules for receiving area equipment
\n\tProficient in emergency response and troubleshooting operational breakdowns
\n\tCollaboration with technical teams for repairs, installations, and system improvements<\/p>\n
