Purpose of Role: <\/p>\n
\tThe fitter and turner is required to run a machine that is a costed\/recovery machine, critical to machining customer demand and contributes to OTD.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities: <\/p>\n
\tSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
\n\tOperational: Set and operate CNC horizontal and vertical borer (3-5 axis) and CNC lathe. Machine components to drawing specification within the required standard of quality and time. Work with tolerance of 12 microns. Sign first off components, precision in reading blueprints and executing tasks. Calculating dimensions and measurements accurately.
\n\tTechnical:\u00a0Read and alter off sets on CNC programs, identify inserts and troubleshoot where necessary, use of measuring instruments \u2013 outside and inside mics, verniers, telescopic gauges, thread\u00a0and blade mics, bore mics, thread gauges. Hard part machining, maintain 5S housekeeping and safety on machines.<\/p>\n
Job Knowledge\/Education and Qualifications: <\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade12).
\n\tQualified Fitter and Turner.
\n\t5 years\u2019 post trade test experience.\u00a0
\n\t2 years\u2019 experience operating CNC machines.<\/p>\n
