\n\tThe successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the NCC Team Leader plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Main Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Supervision:<\/p>\n
\tLead, mentor, and supervise a team of Security Control Room Controllers during your shift.
\n\tConduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
\n\tEnsure all team members adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and professional conduct.
\n\tAllocate tasks and manage shift rosters efficiently to ensure optimal coverage.<\/p>\n
Incident Management & Escalation:<\/p>\n
\tAct as the primary point of contact and decision-maker during critical incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
\n\tOversee and coordinate responses to all security events, including unauthorized access, intrusions, theft, vandalism, and technical malfunctions across all monitored sites, particularly communication towers.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate escalation of incidents to senior management, clients, emergency services (SAPS, Fire, EMS), and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n
System Oversight & Management:<\/p>\n
\tOversee continuous monitoring of alarm systems, ensuring prompt and accurate verification and response to all activations.
\n\tManage and \u00a0direct CCTV surveillance activities, including proactive monitoring, incident review, and forensic analysis.
\n\tSupervise guard patrol monitoring systems, ensuring adherence to patrol schedules, and providing effective remote support and direction to on-site security personnel.
\n\tDirect the use of vehicle tracking systems for security vehicle dispatch and asset monitoring, especially for response teams attending communication towers.
\n\tEnsure the operational integrity of all control room technology, reporting and coordinating repairs for any system malfunctions (e.g., cameras, alarms, communication equipment).<\/p>\n
Communication & Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure all security activities, incidents, and responses are accurately and meticulously logged in the control room management system.
\n\tReview and approve incident reports generated by the team, ensuring clarity, completeness, and adherence to reporting standards.
\n\tConduct comprehensive shift handovers, providing detailed briefings to the incoming team leader and management.
\n\tMaintain clear and effective communication channels with internal departments, external stakeholders, and emergency services.<\/p>\n
SOP Development & Adherence:<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the review and development of new and existing SOPs and emergency protocols.
\n\tEnsure strict adherence to all established procedures by the control room team.<\/p>\n
Training & Development:<\/p>\n
\tConduct on-the-job training for new controllers and provide refresher training for existing staff.
\n\tPromote continuous learning and professional development within the team.<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric Equivalent
\n\tMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in a security control room environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leader capacity.
\n\tPSIRA Grade A.
\n\tA three year Degree or National Diploma in Health and Safety or Safety Management or equivalent qualification (Advantageous)
\n\tKnowledge of relevant Legislations, security regulations, standards, incident, investigations techniques, risk assessment methodologies<\/p>\n
