The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining copyright compliance, intellectual property (IP) rights and permissions across the publishing business. A thorough understanding of copyright compliance within a publishing environment is a key requirement for this role.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tA degree in publishing, copyright, or other relevant field
\n\tMinimum of 4 years of work experience, with at least two years in a relevant field
\n\tKnowledge of risk and compliance processes
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n\tStrong research skills
\n\tDetail oriented; able to work with a high level of organisation and accuracy
\n\tSound numeracy skills
\n\tAn aptitude for detailed contract work
\n\tAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
\n\tSound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with database systems is an advantage
\n\tA collaborative, proactive, and solutions-driven approach<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tManage contracts, rights, permissions, and licensing processes through workflows
\n\tConduct IP and risk assessments and provide compliance recommendations
\n\tReview and manage third-party content to ensure full copyright clearance
\n\tLiaise with external rights holders and suppliers to obtain permissions and maintain accurate records
\n\tSupport audits and legacy rights projects
\n\tProvide training and mentorship on copyright and IP processes
\n\tPromote compliance and best practice in line with company policies and procedures
\n\tContribute to the continuous improvement of IP workflows and documentation<\/p>\n
